Tua drops like a rock.

With Jerry locked in his room and dressed like
Dr. Evil, he takes Tua as Stephen desperately tries to
knock down the door.

He then jumps on the phone with the Jets and
trades this year's 3rd and next year's 1st for
Jamal Adams.

I say we take Chaisson, but where's the fun in that
while reading a message board?...lol

If Chaisson is on the board they take him. If Diggs is on the board but not Chaisson I think they entertain a trade down but take him if the right offer isn't there.

The Cowboys do this for a living and they don't even know how things will fall tomorrow and probably have contingency plans for each scenario so I think it's reasonable as an everyday fan to do the same.
Stay at 17
If any of the top ten players fall I think they would consider taking the player or using it to trade back and add picks. Here is a sample list, your list may vary:
Young
Okudah
Brown
Burrows
Simmons
Wills
Lamb
Jeudy
Tagovailoa
Ruggs

Depending on who is available at 17 I think they would take Henderson followed by Chaisson followed by try to trade back and then Diggs if they can't trade back..

Trade Back
If they trade back I think like @Risen Star said they would probably take Ruiz. He's ranked 26th overall and isn't just the highest rated Center but the highest rate interior offensive lineman. They could use the extra pick to help fill the many needs with a higher quality player depending on who is available.

I think they take Xavier McKinney or trade up a few picks to take Jeff Okudah if he falls.
Henderson might be the first corner off the board.

Trading back for Ruiz. For all those that don't like this, just know you'll be fine. I'm never right.

I don't want them to draft Ruiz, though I'd much rather them trade back to get him. 17 is far too rich imho and would sour my mood rather quickly.

I'll go with small trade back from 17 into the low 20s.

A 3rd will be added and the pick will be Terrell or Fulton.

My heart wants Kinlaw or Chaisson.

My gut says it will be either Henderson, Fulton or McKinney. DB is so short listed right now I don't think they have a choice.

If (and only if) say a top 12 guy falls, we could get a dance partner to trade back, up to 10 spots.
Than I think they will target Diggs, McKinney, Delpit, Terrell

i agree, people are fine with Mckinney but dont want to give up 17 to get Adams.i feel they are scared of Kinlaws knees after LVE siutation bit them int the ***
It could be LVE situation or it could be they just don't value DTs. Or it could they think Trystan Hill will be able to play that 3T long-term.
LVE may be the best R1 pick they've made in a while. He was borderline pro bowl level as a rookie.
Too early to say if he's Sean Lee or not but it could go that way.

If Chaisson, Henderson and Kinlaw are gone when we pick, then I'm interested in seeing who will be there instead. Based on numbers, I would think a receiver or tackle would likely have slipped if those three are gone.

So I take Henry Ruggs III in that case although I prefer one of those three defenders.

If Ruggs isn't there, I'd probably go with whichever OT falls, Wills or Thomas, and start them out at guard.

Neither situation is ideal, but hopefully the team doesn't bypass better players for position needs.

A third of us will like the pick. Another third will vehemently dislike it with the remaining third merely being unimpressed.

Mot my shot but my hope for 17 is either Kinlaw/Chaisson. Second round pick would be Delpit if he fell or a cb or wr

Go on record

What are they doing with it? Not what you want. But what do you think they actually do

My belief is this:

  1. Chaisson if he's there.
  2. Henderson as plan B.
  3. If both are gone, they call around about potentially trading down.
  4. Xavier McKinley if they're stuck.
