Do you know how many teams in the NFC East had a thousand yard receiver?? One, Dallas, and we had 2 of them. You just know in this really deep draft as far as receivers go New York, Philly and Washington are going to try to add a receiver in this draft. Which means that we play those three teams a total of Six times.
It would be very beneficial to have a secondary that Cowboys fans can be proud of. Plus if the team adds another pass rusher Plus secondaty help, that would make the defense even better.
Remember..Defense wins championships.

This is true, as well as needing a really strong receiver.

I would use a next year's pick or two and fix all three...throw in a 4th round tight end, then hell dogs at linebacker/DB that play in packages and also special team stalwarts.

But scoring more than the other team helps too. We do need a 3rd reciever, with the need for DL/CB/S.

Just keep in mind for every score you give up you have to get TWO on offense to take the lead..Why try to win 41-38 when you can also with 21-17?? The NY Gaints beat New England Twice because of their defense, New England beat the Rams recently in a low scoring game.

The Cowboys have been trying to fix the secondary for years. They’ve invested some high picks in the secondary but the draft is a roll of the dice. Luck plays a big part in fixing any part of your team.

If we could add a ball hawker and improve the pass rush that would improve the secondary.

I just looked at last years standings, Dallas And Tampa Bay both missed the playoffs while scoring 435 or more points. HOW do you miss the playoffs with that type of offense?? Hint...D FENCE.

It's a good bet that the Cowboys will be attending to their secondary and other defensive needs before the offense. That's been their mantra for the duration of the offseason. Let's not be surprised, nor upset, though, if the offense gets attention a bit later in the draft. It serves the team as a whole to maintain a balance of strength on both sides of the ball. I hope most of us will be happy with the talent added to the team when this draft is over.

Dak after he hurt his shoulder, the offense thus struggled down the stretch.

One draft will not fix the defense. They will be lucky to get two starters and a player or two that plays a high percentage of snaps. It is not like they have ignored the defense in previous drafts, but picks like Taco and Hill were terrible picks which Marinelli wastes. It will take two or three drafts and a couple of years worth of playing time for any defensive picks to have a big impact , but the secondary has to be addressed because they don’t even have enough decent DBs to play a game.

They had better address the secondary at some point. J. Lewis, C. Awuzie, C. Goodwin, M. Canady, H. Dix, and X. Woods are all free-agents next season and I'm not sure at this point Dallas would resign any of them. I won't be surprised if they come away from this draft with 3 DBs of some flavor.

I get what you’re saying and agree about the secondary but I’m not the slightest bit concerned about Washington or NY beating us through the air. All the other teams and Philly, yes...but not the Gnats or Skins.

TE is a bigger need than receiver.
