It was by FAR the best pick the team could have made.
Don’t be so bitter that you can’t applaud a terrific pick.

it would be a terrific pick for a team that didn't already have two 1,000 yard receivers with one already getting a good contract just a month ago.

I mean, look at what Lynch did with Kinlaw. He really didn't need a D player either, but he went BPA.

I hate he did it, but yeah, there's something to be said for that approach.

Lynch just traded DeForest Foster to the Colts. Kinlaw was a need

Again, this is a historic WR draft. There are only so many picks, one was bound to fall. Jones is worth that money, he got exactly what the market dictated - he was even more worth it when we have trash behind him (I know this place loves Lewis, but he's average)

You can put as many highly touted skill players on the field and it won't amount in a championship.
I don't know why but I just don't think letting cooper walk and us having Jump Jones on the roster amounts to winning a championship either.

And of course you know all there is about being an NFL QB? When are people going to learn that all these talking heads ALWAYS say good things about current players? They never say "Player A sucks." Especially former QB's talking about other QB's. How many experts said Winston was bad? How many say that Lamar Jackson actually sucks as an NFL QB? None do. They all go out of their way to talk about everything other than his horrible passing ability. Same as Dak. He has trouble completing passes that most NFL QB's should have no problem completing.
Dallas should have tried to trade him and got a real NFL QB under center.
I have no clue about being an NFL QB. Troy, Tony, Bill Belichek etc etc are not talking heads. I suggest you go be a fan of the Chiefs since you believe the Cowboys have no chance with Dak. Please do that and spare us.

They will have 3 or 4 more chances to draft a good defensive player and there are free agents who can help still out there as well. That pick wasn’t the only way to improve the defense. Not only that but if they took the DE and Gregory and Smith both get reinstated, the rookie might not even play that much. Lamb was #6 on their board and they needed a WR. That made him a no brainer pick. Not passing on him and not having to watch Philly trade up to take him is just the icing on the cake.

Disagree. Coop is an established veteran. It's Coops presence that allows Lamb to EAT this year.

They play with one football and paid a RB a ton of money to be a bell cow. Rookie WRs never eat. Plus Gallup was just fine. It’s a wasted pick.

Birds on the clock. Are they done kicking dogs to make a pick? Seriously I hope they do not pick Xavier.

Lamb isn't Randy Moss good but to me I felt getting the best need that year with the Edge we took was a bad pick because Moss was by far the better player. I'm sure Chiasson would have been a good pick and would have worked out well for Dallas like the DE did. But Lamb is probably gonna be our top WR for several years. He's a stud. He may be the best draft pick Dallas has had since Zeke.

I hated the Cooper contract. Now I really hate it.
really the cooper deal is only for three years. the last three years are just base salary money years so after cooper is gone we still have lamb as our number one receiver.
