, . Jones will really get my respect today if he takes defense with both selections, even do some maneuvering today. I actually felt if we took an offensive player yesterday it would be a travesty, but when I saw it was Cee Dee Lamb, I was happy. But please keep this in mind, Dallas scored 434 points last year, Four Hundred and Thirty Four Points...And Still did not make the Playoffs.

Thank god he's a 65% completion guy who threw for 4900 yards and 30 TD's.. while having a receiving corps that lead the league in drops...... but great point...

But I thought Garrett's offense sucked? What gives?

Oh, that's right, it sucks when they lose.

I can go on hiatus from this board and still know that there will be negativity threads created whenever Cowboys fans are happy or excited about something. And because some Cowboys fans are happy and excited with the pick of Lamb, of course some would feel the need to try to damper the mood with an Anti-Dak thread. Because some fans just can't help themselves.

I don't think people realize that every QB has bad throws. That's why you'll rarely see QBs with 75%+ completion rate, because a quarter to a third of the passes are usually dropped or missed

Yep. Drew Brees hit 75% one year I think. Incredible accomplishment.

Dak had the supporting cast last year , OL , RB, WR . The results were not good . Many keep blaming it on Jason Garrett . I think in 2020 Dak has to win much more games against winning teams to validate his franchise tag or 33+ mil salary . I have doubt about his accuracy and decision making but Time will tell .

You mean throwing behind a WR does not improve his stats?

Guess we all forgot about those days.

He does throw behind receivers on occasion and I hope McCarthy fixes that. But other than that he is a dual threat QB that can take a tomahawk missile to the chest.

Maybe you should stop injecting Lysol?

This pick changes nothing with this offense when Dak’s under center. He’s still gonna be slow going thru his progressions, hold the ball too long and have awful pocket presence. He’s still not gonna wait for 2-3 yards separation before he releases the ball and have trouble reading pre snap blitz not to mention defenses period. He’s still gonna struggle throwing TD passes inside the red zone because of the above stated issues. We better hit on every pick the rest of this draft and hope all our FAs are lights out. All things will have to be perfect around Dak for us to ever reach a SB with Mr. Mediocrity.

Dak will make or break this pick. It’s crazy we’re putting the success of this team completely on his shoulders.
