This would be a nice draft, but they absolutely need more help at DT. They probably have to take Diggs if he is there at 51, but as much as I like Burgess if one of the DTs falls to them, they have to take him, IMO. Since they signed Dix, I don't think they need to take a safety right away unless he is the clear BPA. Guys like Tanner Muse, Brian Cole, Jordan Fuller and Julian Blackmon should be available 4-7. Anyone they draft will probably be a backup to Woods and Dix - unless its McKinney or Delpit.

I also want a DT, but it Fotu or Lawrence are there in the 4th, I would be super stoked.

Agree on DT, its also an area where you can add a lot FA on a pillow contract for depth.

I really thought Chaisson was the pick but he wouldn't have taken all the RDE snaps even if he was the pick. We really don't know the status of Smith and Gregory but its possible the team is way more confident in those two taking half the snaps next year than the fans think right now.

I wasn't clear on that, I'm not saying I would have been the only person on Earth who would take Chaisson over Lamb, I was saying I didn't expect Lamb to be available so going into the draft Chaisson would be taken at 17.

I’d honestly rather trade up for McKinney. He is versatile and can play both safety spots as well as cover from the slot. We can sign Kirkpatrick and pick up another CB in the 4th. We’d be guaranteed 2 long-term significant contributors in Lamb and McKinney.

There’s 3 CBs left in the second round who have value there: Fulton, Diggs, and Jaylon Johnson. You’d probably have to move up to get one of them anyway. Don’t want to reach for a guy like Bryce Hall in the 2nd. The best move is to move up for McKinney.

He has Dallas taking CB Trevon Diggs and then FS Terrell Burgess in the 3rd.

I would be very happy with that outcome.

Love the picks, but I'd be a little worried about youth on the DL.

I agree they need help at DT. But who is the odd man out? I just don’t see it

Mccoy / Hill
Poe / Woods

Crawford is extra help. Not saying they can’t or won’t upgrade the depth. But cutting Hill or Woods may not be in the cards

I don't think Woods has resigned yet.
DT is can use some upgrade. I take best available S/DT/DE in 3rd. Quality of CB really drops after 2nd.

BPA continues.

We have 3 good CB right now so we can make due. It's about the year after. Same can be said for S positions. So take the best player there and it will pan out. If we reach and the better player turns out to be the better player then we screwed ourselves AGAIN.

I could dig that. I'd really like a DL in there though. But Diggs and Burgess are solid.

Maybe get lucky and Fotu is there in the 4th?
If we can steal Fotu or Davon Hamilton in the 4th, then this will compete as one of our best drafts ever.

And leaving Delpit there for either?

I guess if Diggs was in the 17 discussion they have a 1st round grade on him.

I hear all the Delpit noise but I just fail to see it with any kind of real consistency watching LSU games.
