crazy that they could have traded their 2nd pick to move up to get Lamb but decided it was to valuable and use it to draft a project QB instead

This makes it even better. What would you rather have? Lamb or Reagor/Hurts? Lamb any day of the week!

Anyone else think that the title sounds like they're urinating on him?

Hurts in a wild cat Taysom Hill situation. That seems to be the plan in Philly. So we'll see. Should be interesting!

I'm just as happy about this pick as I am the Cowboys picks. If the Eagles let me pick a top 64 player for them, He would have been top 3. A completely wasted pick.

Philly boards are melting down (again).

This is a gem from their board:

"EPENESA GOES NEXT PICK! LAMB TO THE COWBOYS, NOW EPENESA GOES NEXT PICK! MY BALLS CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE KICKS TO THEM!"

hahahaa I actually just saw this on their boards, so funny.
I absolutely love watching them melt down.

The only reason that makes any sense as to why the Eagles made that move was because Carson Wentz can’t stay healthy. He finally made it through the regular season last year only to get hurt in the playoffs. No one knows the value of a backup QB more than Philly who won their only Super Bowl with a backup.

That is the only thing that comes close to making sense. But in the second round? Do that in the 4th.

It’s the only logical reason as to why they did it. Wentz has gone down every year so they had to make sure they selected a QB who they think can start and win some games. The farther you go in the draft the less likely you’re going to find that guy. I certainly wouldn’t have made that move in the second round but Wentz has only played one full season injury free before getting hurt in the playoffs. Injuries are eventually going to catch up with him. He takes a lot of hits.

Is this Howie's "special teams" draft of old Jer's from days gone by? My son and I had a chuckle when they said hurts.

They already have a backup, and Hurts was 76 on the board? Mid 3rd round. Eason, Fromm, even Hurts would have still been there in the 4th. Probably the 5th.

Honestly , I’ve been watching football since 1977 , I actually really like Hurts , he would have been a great flyer pick late in the 3rd or anytime in the 4th . As it stands with the eagles needs , it’s the single strangest draft pick I can ever remember . Not the worst but for sure the absolute strangest.

Their backup is Josh McCown who’s 40. Go argue with the Eagles about it, I gave my opinion as to why they took Hurts.

This draft has been great on two levels. The 3 guys the Cowboys were able to get, and the Eagles picking up a kickoff returner and a backup to a backup QB in the first two rounds.

The Raiders still hold worst pick ever in the first round 1973.

I thought it was Sudfeld. I don't keep track of them.
