-Diggs-absolute steal at 51 in my opinion. Would of been happy with him at 17, but probably would of preferred a small trade down. He was my #4 CB in the class. He fits the Cowboy CB profile, long and athletic. If Kris Richard was still around, he would be jumping on the table for this player. I do believe he's a day 1 starter and with a little development, upside to become a #1 CB with legitimate ball skills.

-Gallimore-not my first choice, but cannot complain, either. I would of rather swung big and took a chance on Lewis from Alabama, although it would of been a major gamble due to his medicals. I understand the pick, team needed to improve depth inside, they just cannot go in the season relying on two older starters at the position. Gallimore has the ability to play either the 1 or the 3, reminds me of M. Collins. His selection doesn't mean they are moving on from T. Hill by any means. Even though Hill had a disappointing rookie season, they aren't going to give up on a 2nd rd pick in year 2. Let's see what the new staff can do with him as well as the veterans ahead of him.

-Three teams stood out to me on day 2; Saints, I really like their aggressiveness getting Baun/Trautman. Baltimore as usual, value pick after pick & Carolina Gross-Matos, Chinn.

-What in the world are the Eagles doing? Taking a backup QB in rd 2. Are they creating a Hill type of role, are they trying to develop him to trade him later? The Raiders drafted two more WR's after Ruggs in rd 1. It reminds me of the old Cowboys CB draft with Goodwin.

-I guess we all got in wrong, thinking we could grab Van Jefferson as late as rd 4. Pittman also went much higher then anyone anticipated.

Day 3 Outlook-this is now the time for Fassell to get some special team upgrades. Wallace from Clemson could be a real good special team standout and a sub-package player who can fill many roles. Wouldn't surprise to see the Cowboys draft a developmental QB, depth for the OL or another TE. I am hoping for Curtis Weaver, but don't think he makes it past the first 5 picks today.

Not quite so high on Diggs as you are but great value, he will not be an asset his rookie year IMO he is a receiver who shifted to defense in college, good luck on the transition to the NFL. I believe he will be valuable down the road just this immediate season we will feel some growing pains unless he is a outlier. If I were an opposing Offensive Coordinator he would be tested as part of the game plan. Choosing between him and Awuzie would be my mindset.
Gallimore is a project but great value, if he is going to be a three technique it will completely change his previously coached techniques, he needs to stay low, great motor but loses most of his talented assets with raising up immediately upon contact. If we can coach him up the motor is there to be a real handful another great pick in the third round.

I am with you on DE today, probably correct that Weaver will not last long. TE or another CB would also be on my menu.

My take:
Diggs is a great get. If it runs, I wouldn't be surprised if Diggs gets torched at the start of training camp by Cooper/Gallup/Lamb but I expect him to progress and start winning some reps towards the end. He just needs to figure out what he can get away with when it comes to jamming at the LOS. I think he could be a gunner on the opposite side to CJ Goodwin and maybe a punt returner which adds bonus value.

Gallimore was a solid get too. I probably would have taken Lloyd Cushenberry given I rated him a top 40 pick in this draft but I like the value of Gallimore in the 3rd. One of the reasons I wasn't high on him was that I struggle to evaluate him because the Sooners stunt so much. We saw him get pressure a lot on these stunts but those are scheme related and less about talent. He was effective shooting the B-gap and showed a good spin move, and club move but I also saw him washed out A LOT, and never once saw him stack and shed. He lacks length and plays with a high pad level so it could be an issue that will take some time to iron out.

I don't get he Eagles either. They trades picks and players, if I recall correctly, to move up and draft Wentz at #2. They paid Wentz $128 million for 4 years at the beginning of the 2019 season. Now, not even a year later, they use a 2nd round pick on a backup QB? Some are saying its because Wentz is hurt all the time and the Eagles learned the value of having a quality backup when Foles won the SB. That's the dumbest argument. If you believe this then why pay Wentz $32 million if you are expecting him to get hurt? The Eagles must be thinking about moving on from Wentz in a year or two. They must be thinking that Hurts is there in case Wentz get hurt again, not as his backup, but as his replacement. What they learned is how the Cowboys moved on from an oft hurt Romo to a more durable Dak.

The irony of this move is that Hurts left Alabama after he got hurt and was replaced by Tua Tagovailoa. Now is going to sit behind Wentz as his backup?

Do the Eagles think they can showcase Hurts a little with some plays designed for him then trade him next year for a 1st round pick? Or is it Wentz they will trade? Some teams are not having a good draft and IMO, the Eagles are one of those teams. The Raiders are another one.

The Raiders took Ruggs over Lamb and Jeudy. Okay, Ruggs has uncommon speed. But then to take Arnette over several other CBs many rated higher? Bowden and Edwards are good picks but that's 3 WRs? I guess the Riaders current receivers should start packing their bags. But then they take Tanner Muse in the 3rd round? He was projected to go in the 6th round by most and the 7th by some. 5 picks in the first 3 rounds and to me the Raiders did an awful job.

I think some teams saw Hurts as a franchise QB that went far too low and was too good of a deal to pass up. I think he would have been our pick at some point based on value.
