You claim that Wentz could have played through a concussion...

Have you heard of the concussion protocol? You have no idea what/how he could actually see at the time.

How on earth anyone could claim that a QB could have played on with a concussion without actually being that person or the doctor assessing him, whilst sitting in their armchair is beyond embarrassing.
And when’s the last time a QB didn’t return from a head injury during a playoff game?

Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Guys play through concussions. They shrug off their symptoms and tough it out. Troy Aikman and our own Dak Prescott could start a brand of smelling salt if they wanted to.

Again, they SHOULDN’T tough it out, but they do. Not everyone is a warrior cut from that cloth, and Wentz certainly isn’t. I respect his choice to do the smart thing medically.

That could be why Wentz may live a better life when he’s 70 years old, so good for him.

But it’s also why Jalen Hurts is an Eagle when they had more pressing needs in the 2nd round.

All these Eagles fans don’t realize how bad the pick truly is. I’m an OU fan and Hurts is not a NFL quality passer. He has all the problems Dak has multiplied by 10. His accuracy, decision making under pressure and ability to read defenses is bottom tier. Guys like him used to be drafted in the late rounds, now everyone wants Lamar Jackson.
I expect some gadget type plays in his package....and lots of one read passes, then take off.

Oh we know. IMO based on value and need it’s worse than when Howie took a 26 year old fireman who didn’t like football to play G.

Eagles are having the worst draft in the league and possibly a historically bad draft.

Howie can’t evaluate talent, been saying it for years.

The whole thing so hilarious. Deliciously hilarious.

Someone should tell Howie how the whole “quarterback factory” thing works. You draft mid round QBs then trade them later for 1’s or 2’s. That means you don’t pick them in the second, not with so many great players on the board.

We lucked out, honestly. The Eagles could have drafted Mims.

Exactly correct. Mims, Epeneza, etc represented much better value and in an area of need.

The QB flipping BS is stupid. You are missing out on contributions form a starter that should’ve been picked there, while waiting on a QB to develop. There is zero value in this philosophy.

This draft is just gross.

Reagor isn't a terrible pick, Hurts was bad as in real bad.

Dak doesn't have any problems. If Hurts is half the player Dak is..they did well with this pick.

Carson “Charmin-Soft” Wentz has ended 3 straight seasons with an injury.

The last 2 seasons were injuries that he could have played through (not saying he SHOULD have, but he COULD have).

Philly noticed. They don’t have Nick Foles to bail them out and outshine Wentz anymore.

This is part of the cost of employing a soft, injury-prone starting QB. You have to burn a high draft pick on his replacement since you can’t rely on him to stay healthy.

Dallas knows they have a starter who will be available every Sunday barring a BIG injury. Dak’s a flat-out warrior. Don’t underestimate how valuable that is.
This pick is so nutty that I believe there must be more to this story. What if Wentz's concussion was worse than reported? What if his head is scrambled like Aikman's was toward the end?

Only thing that makes this move make any sense.

I couldn’t believe they did that. Must be something to it. Maybe grabbed him thinking he could trade him later for a better player.

They want to use him like Taysom Hill. That’s fine but it’s not worth a 2nd round pick for a sub package, Unless they are rolling out a new offense with 2 QBs on the field this makes no sense,

Their third rounder is a 7th day Adventist so if there is a Saturday playoff game he won’t be able to play.

I agree- but to say Dak Prescott "has problems"...

Dak threw for nearly 5000 yards last season and is putting together a potential HOF resume.

He's not a top 5 QB but he's no bum.

The sheer sensitivity Dak pumpers have to any criticism of their master has reached shocking levels. Dak absolutely “has problems” as a QB. He’ll even tell you about them.

Hilarious! It’s not the pick so much, but where he went. 2nd round? Smh.....I think Pederson plans to use him at goal line and when they need a yard. That’s my thought process

Stay away from that place if your sensibilities are easily offended. It starts with their lead writer, B L Gowton who thinks a professional is a hooker standing on a corner in the seedy part of town. Most foul mouth, uncouth group of posters on the sports internet and it ain't even close.

I watched Dak and Hurts all last year. Hurts makes Dak look like Aikman in terms of accuracy.
dak is not that accurate. have you seen his misses against the saints, patriots and the eagles ? dak was exposed by pressing defenses a lot .
