Mel Kiper's top corner start of day 3.
I don't think it was a bad pick at all just probably the only one that wasn't BPA. Really he may end up making a bigger impact right away on special teams than our other DB drafted so far. We still gotta wait till these players get on the field and produce but on paper this draft is great. You got a WR that should be the best WR on the team by the end of the year. You fill in depth on the interior OL. Get some DBs that you can use and one could be a special teams guy right away and has a history of blocking kicks. And you get a rush edge need filled. 2016 Draft is still the best in recent memory because you got Dak, Zeke, Collins was a starter. Brown started some. That's probably the best in recent memory still.

Why not? Instant contributor with one hell of a leg, that would give Dallas..dare I say..a LEG up on the division.

Upgrading the punter last year could have swayed a few games in the Cowboys favor.
Because you can find a punter off the street. Marquette King is out there. And even then...you can draf one in the 7th. 5th round is incredibly too high.

Man the TV coverage is anything but the draft once it gets this late. Seems like they could be doing summaries or something draft related. I think if we wanted a COVID update we could get that on about ten other channels. Now we have a concert going on.

Yeah I had to mute the agenda for a while, sickening...:espn::espn::espn:

The Jerry haters will be quiet for a while. They still have the Dak contract to complain about. And then we should pretty much hear from them again if one of these players should happen to get hurt.

Wait, I thought Jerry delegates to Stephen and Will. That they’re the real brains of the operation.

Am i jumping the gun and saying this draft>>>2016?

No way to know right now but I will say this. There is no question in my mind that as far as name identity and consensus value, this is their best draft ever. Every pick has been incredible value and a name everyone has on the radar for the pick. That has never happened before. They always used to reach for specific traits a few times every year. Just looking at those names and then looking at where they got them is absolutely stunning. We all laughed at those unrealistic draft simulator result people were posting but I don't think any of them were as good as this. Amazing!!!!

Dude, I would absolutely love King. The kid has swagger at a position that is quite boring. Unless you keep up with McAfee..he's hilarious now.

However, King is 31. Mann, in the 6th or 7th, would be the highest possible upside of any other pick imho.

Think about it, day 1 starter who instantly makes the team better. Yeah, 5th was a bit too early..but looking at the bigger picture? It could definitely be worse. He ain't no Devin Street, that's for sure.

Ticket said so far this draft not one player they took was ahead of where they should be. Can many teams ever say that.
I'd probably say the only other one would be Baltimore who always seem to have great drafts.

The Browns and Panthers have also had a great draft.

Well we certainly won the Spring Super Bowl with this draft. Another great pick. Now let’s hope this all translates to wins in the fall.

Spring Super Bowl. LOL Sounds pretty good, and I agree we won! Best all around Cowboys draft I can remember. :flagwave:

From Bob McGinn's scout report on edge rushers.

6. BRADLEE ANAE, Utah (6-3 ½, 257, 4.93, 2-3): Anae is a three-year starter at LE. “Some guys know how to rush the quarterback and some guys don’t,” said one scout. “Bradlee Anae does. He’s got a great feel for it. Knows how to counter pressure. Can really turn the corner. Really good with his hands. Similar to Nick Bosa that way. He has the right mentality. People were saying he’s a meathead. Do you want a bookworm to play defensive end?” Anae broke the school-record of 29 ½ sacks by Hunter Dimick with 30 and also had 135 tackles (41 ½ for loss) and six forced fumbles. “He’s going to be a pain in the *** (for offenses),” another scout said. “He has talent but there’s not a lot of skill. He can bend a little bit but it’s more just quickness off the ball and he just doesn’t stop. Like the Energizer Bunny. His sacks will come from effort or winning right off the bat as opposed to skill.” Anae ran a slow 40 and his arm length of 32 1/8 was the shortest of the leading edge rushers. “He’s not an elite guy,” said a third scout. “He’s been a big hype guy. He had a good Senior Bowl. He’s not that talented as a rusher in terms of twitch, explosiveness.” Anae is from Laie, Hawaii.
I don’t care if you don’t have elite skills. I want to know your production and Anae appears to have that. Good pick in my opinion.
