I've been looking at some videos of the guy. I see a lot of confidence and swagger to go along with physicality. My gut says he'll make this team.

This is a solid pick, I bet he will be the starting DE opposite of Lawrence by end of the season.

There is talk about Nolan taking a Patriots approach to defense (instead of being predictable like under Marinelli). Depending on who we're playing will dictate the scheme. Looks like Anae will fit right in:

I can't believe it. Every single pick outside of Lamb & Diggs could have gone at least one, possibly 2 rounds higher.
And plenty of people had a 3rd round grade on this guy Anae. Sometimes the draft just comes to you. Jerry is also seems to be listening to McCarthy about these picks.

Size (especially arm length) and slower than expected 40-time started to hurt his stock.

I don't think so. When it comes down to those final cuts, special teams and effort are the difference. His effort is elite.
