Just a thought. Anyone remember what was said when Romo was brought in? Any similarities to player, or profile, or pre draft discussions?

I'll always give Sean Payton credit for Romo being in Dallas. He basically begged both Jerry and The Tuna to sign him. People forget that Sean tried to take Romo to New Orleans with him but Parcells wasnt having it.

But to answer you question....I dont know. All I know is when JG came in as OC Romo as a QB went next level. And what happened with Dak his rookie season was historic IMO.

With that said I am excited to see what McCarthy does with Dak. How can you not be? It would actually be a let down if Dak in anyway regressed.

Fair points, and yes, I think a regression from Dak would be a let down too. I'm excited for
Barley through free agency and the draft and we are being spoiled with amazing football decisions we never got under the clapper. I can't wait till actual coaching of the team happens

Yes, that will be fascinating to see things we haven't seen since Parcells come season time. I wonder how much we'll be asking "why we couldn't we do this before?"

Went to JMU, saw him play at least 3x at a couple homecoming games and just was in Harrisonburg one weekend so I took in a game. He is going to just be a camp arm....he's shifty and makes good decisions but he's not going to be a NFL starter. Might be better than Mike White but that's not saying much.

Here's DiNucci in the championship game vs. North Dakota State.

Played well, but ends the game by throwing a pick in the endzone.

Shades of Romo's divisional playoff game vs. the Giants.

Go here for a bunch of stats and info. I have no clue of him as he should have been a UDFA.

The only great thing for the Cowboys from James Madison is Charles Haley.

CAA Offensive Player of the Week (Nov. 11)… Completed 268-of-378 attempts for 3,441 yards and 29 touchdowns with six interceptions… Also rushed for 569 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 4.7 per carry… Led the nation with a 70.9% completion percentage… Also ranked second nationally in pass efficiency (169.5), sixth in yards per pass attempt (9.1) and 11th in the FCS and third in the CAA in passing touchdowns… Led the CAA in yards per play (8.0) and total offensive yards (4,010) while also ranking third in total offensive touchdowns (36) and seventh in rushing touchdowns… Ranked second in JMU single-season history in passing yards and total offense, tied for second in passing touchdowns and third in completions… Tied career high with four passing touchdowns against Morgan State (Sept. 14)… Threw for a season-high 293 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another score against New Hampshire (Nov. 9)… Completed 84% of passes, throwing for 273 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 66 and two scores in FCS Second Round versus Monmouth (Dec. 7)… Passed for three touchdowns and added a rushing score against Richmond (Nov. 16)… Passed for 255 yards and two touchdowns, adding 62 on the ground with a TD in FCS Semifinals against Weber State (Dec. 21)… Passed for three touchdowns in comeback win against Villanova (Oct. 12)… Threw for more than 200 yards in 11 games… Completed better than 75% of passes in eight outings, including career-high 88.9% at Rhode Island (Nov. 23)… Had at least three total touchdowns in six games… Rushed for at least 80 yards twice, including season-high 82 at Rhode Island... What's not to like with that description..now work his butt off and let him watch a ton of film/with close direction.

I already will enjoy watching this quarterback progress.

the change at coach was far overdue. I just hope Jerry gives McCarthy even just half the amount of chances he gave clapper to get us to the promise land.

What funny about that is that he basically became Romo.

Some potentially good news; it’s coming to light that he hammered Romo on Twitter just like Dakota did, so he still may win back some of his early detractors.

I can’t find the link but I’m hearing it exists

Edit, it’s on his account and getting feedback already.

Welcome to Dallas!

Ben Dinucci
CBS rank #546 o_O
Trust me Jerry, I speak from experience it's always that last drink that gets you:confused:

He’s a seventh rounder! After the draft we’ve had, people make jokes about an unknown QB at #231?

The Pats did several video conferences with him, so there must be SOMETHING that got their attention. Just a 4th QB for whatever TC we might have. Who knows, he might become our #3.

I seriously don’t think Prescott’s going to be a cowboy for the rest of his career. Do you want to play for a team with the fans really a split. Cowboys I hope you realize

I don’t think Prescott wants to be a cowboy for the rest of his career. Who wants to play for franchise for the fans are split. Only time is going to tell. I haven’t seen a better replacement yet
Pulease. Dak doesn't want to leave Dallas. This is the pinnacle for a pro quarterback. Playing quarterback for America's team.
