SIAP, but I'm too lazy to review 13 pages of posts.

The FCS national championship was my first and last exposure to DiNucci. Was a great game to watch. FCS playoffs in general are so so so much fun.

Came down to this one.

Hopefully, he brings a hunger to not let this be his last play.

That seals it! He may actually be a real clone of Tony Romo.

I'd fine the best donuts and gourmet coffee to bring to meetings.

I kinda dont agree with this. I think JG was horrid at identifying talent but I think he did a pretty good job with Romo and Dak. I know fans dont like giving JG any credit but it was on his watch that both of these QBs had some really good success.

That is exactly what is wrong with this fan base they have no idea what REALLY GOOD SUCESS really means. Its sad. You think Romo whom I once loved and now is dead to me had really good success ? You think Dak has had really good success ? Your bar for really good success seems way to low. Would you like to define for us what you think really good success is ?

I can see the comparisons to Romo.........
:lmao2:

All serioussnes I love Romo but I can see the butt hurt Romo fans (whom will never forgive Dak) falling in love with DiNucci

My take on this kid is he has a great arm and his accuracy is there.. but the videos I'm finding, I can't really see how he handles being rushed. In the videos, he's always had good protection but we're not living in a perfect world.

Its difficult to say really because the only video we have on him are hightlight reels. But its obvious that he improved his throwing motion and release and footwork from his last year at PITT where he was not very accurate to this past year where he had a 70% comp rate. That's what you like to see from a player steady improvement from year to year. We would really need to look at full games from this past season to see how he reacts under pass rush. I would say his velocity is adequate but not great. Great velocity is Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Pat Mahomes, level. He is definitely not on that par of velocity but then neither is Brees but Brees is an accuracy guy and that maybe what they see in him.

Success is 50 million dollars is Chunky Beef Soup and many many other endorsements without accomplishing anything meaningful

He took over a potential SB bound team and turned in mediocre results.......bar achieved

Yeah, it was probably one of those games where Romo threw for 400 yards/4 TDs and then tossed a pick on the last drive to lose the game.
If you look at the date they played the Rams and Janoris Jenkins got a pick 6 against Romo. Probably was that play.

Just a thought. Anyone remember what was said when Romo was brought in? Any similarities to player, or profile, or pre draft discussions?
There was actually a lot of pre-draft hype for Romo on the boards. He was definitely a known prospect. But people said his arm was too weak. I don't know if there are similarities because I know nothing about this kid.

Even after he stuck around a while, most dismissed Romo as a long shot. Gradually, his support became stronger and stronger. Was pretty cool, actually

I agree If Romo could have stayed healthly there is no telling how many SB's we may have won between 2016 till now. I would wager at least one. We missed our window. Dak did well for himself taking on a championship caliber team and played well enough to beat a very soft schedule and a playoff win in 16'. But if Romo had stayed healthy his experience would have put us over the top.

And to be fair, Dakota was thrown in and did very well considering he was a 4th rounder and it was all very sudden, but we have seen his ceiling and it ain’t worth 40 million a year. He’s a a super nice guy but he’s not elite and taking up 25 % of our salary cap is beyond stupid........did I mention he’s a nice guy?
