I am no preacher, but very excited by the pick and I wrote this. Let me know what you think.

The prophecy of redemption is revealed

Ezekiel has given his vision, his prophecy, while his people have been in exile away from the Super Bowl Holy Land for 25 years.

"My people, you will redeem the land the good Lord has given to you. You have suffered in exile by being ruled over and suffering from plagues. You will be restored to control the land promised to you. You will be glorified by all those who now scorn you, who mock you, who treat you with contempt," said the prophet Ezekiel.

"I will give you lightning and thunder and you shall reconquer the land that belongs to you, a land flowing with excitement, glory, honey and money. I am appointing four men who will serve as your lightning and thunder as you reenter the land, to conquer the land and rule over the land. Follow these men, as they are blessed by the great one above who directs all of you to return to the promised land."

" They will emerge and be glorified again, they will be restored as America's team, led by my messengers of redemption, AMERICA'S LIGHTNING GROUP, AMARI, LAMB AND GALLUP. "

"AMERICA'S LIGHTNING GROUP shall LASSO, CORRAL, and GALLOP (Lamb, Cooper, Gallup) and vanquish all your enemies, and set the stage in the great Cowboy land. I will then unleash my THUNDER, my namesake, Ezekiel Elliott, who will plow his way through and on the land and reach the path of glory to be restored to you long suffering ones. The redemption to the glory days of yesteryear is about to begin."

" My people, your suffering is nearly over. You will all soon drink from the silver cup and raise the crown in joy. Fear not from the sight of lightning throughout the sky or the powerful quakes of thunder, as the redemption after 25 years of exile is now unfolding before your eyes."

You get better by strengthening areas of weaknesses. Wr is not one of our areas of weakness. I like the player but this was a perfect opportunity for Jerry to get his lazy butt on the phone and see if the Dolphins might want a wr to go with their new franchise Qb and maybe parlayed this into an early second rounder and a 1st round pick in next years draft.
.

Hahahahahahah..maybe miami would have given us Tua and Byron Jones Back too..why stop there..maybe 3 first round picks

Your proposals are far more absurd than mine. CeeDee was a top 10 talent according to just about everyone who matters and Jerry was getting calls on the pick.

My only concern--and it's just a concern, not saying I'm unhappy with the pick, of course--is that what I've seen so far of this kid off the field makes me wary that he will ascend to prima donna persona fairly quickly if/when he tastes NFL success.

I hope it's just a small sample size thing, but it is a thing.

What have you seen that makes you think this? The one interview I saw with him makes me think he's well adjusted and humble.

I voted no, but it's a very iffy no. I don't know how I feel about this pick, and will have to see how this plays out first.

I will gladly laugh at anyone that says this was a bad pick in sort of way and no longer take any football take of theirs with an once of credibility.
Someone posted a thread complaining because our biggest needs were S/DT and TE. I told them no one at those positions came off the board until the 2nd and wanted to know who their target would have been.

LOL beautiful logic.
"you get better by strengthening areas of weakness. let's trade the pick for a pick next year!"
fyi teams can also get better by improving strengths.....

Trading back for additional picks isn't something I invented.

Strengthening strengths works at some positions and not others. For example, if KC added Joe Burrow they strengthened their QB position but unless Mahomes goes down, that move doesn't improve the team. Lamb is going to have to have a hell of year to improve this offense b/c he's replacing a guy who had over 850 yards receiving in the slot. If you think stacking WRs works in the NFL, show me where.

A more interesting question to me would be if CJ Henderson had been there as well, would we be happy with the Lamb pick? I think it was between Lamb and Chaisson, the only other D nugget that might be comparable.

The other twist to this is this is the only GM in the league that gets the "passed on Moss" attached to him as THE player that got away and made him pay for it. I think that may have crossed his mind as he continued to see Lamb falling because that may be the top regret in his entire career as the GM of the team. This is a man that gave up 2 1st rounders twice for WR's that couldn't carry Moss' jock. Like his mentor, he is forever entwined with that position.
