TE Jackie Harris was the first player (2000-01) to wear #88 following Michael Irvin.

I was stunned to see that occur.

Tony Fingers had potential, I liked giving him a shot with #88, same goes for Dez.

Either number works for me, but I'd rather see CeeDee Lamb in #88.

We'll see what happens, but in the end, the team decides and issues the jersey number.

Ezekiel Elliott didn't pick #21, the Cowboys wanted him in it for marketing reasons due to his high first round status..
I forgot about Jackie Harris. I was thinking Antonio Bryant drafted in 2002 was after Irvin.

I really hope he does go with 10. Leave 88 alone for a bit. Rather not ceedee end up like Antonio Bryant with 88 after Michael. Now you want ceedee to take 88 after Dallas all time leading receiver? Let lamb go on his own.
I'm much more likely to end up purchasing a Lamb jersey if it's No. 10.

If he's forced into No. 88 then I'll pass on picking up his jersey. I'm honestly tired of seeing it for a while.

I’m with you. Rather 10. Make your own legacy kid.

I wore 88 in HS.. Cee Dee gotta earn wearing my number... Jerry just can't give my number to his flavor of the day...

I would say no to 8 or 12. Throw a no to 11 as well. Give him 14.
I would be shocked if they gave those numbers anyway because they never have since Roger and Troy retired, but there is no way they would give those numbers to a 7th round pick that is a long shot to stick, much less start, in the NFL.

I actually would not mind seeing 19, 13 and 10 as our starting WR numbers.

It would be different at least.
It would certainly be different, and for me, you know what player it is when you see those numbers.

"Oh, that's Coop, Gallup and Lamb" rather than "Oh, that's Coop, Gallup, and.. umm.. Pearson, no.. Irvin, no.. Bryant, no.. Oh, and Lamb."

But yeah, as I mentioned earlier if he's forced to wear No. 88 then it'll be a jersey I'll pass on buying this year. Otherwise I was waiting to pick up that No. 10.

Truthfully I think even if Dez doesn't end up being resigned it's a little too early to be giving 88 out again already. I do think Ceedee is worth it but giving it out too much could end up cheapening it. Maybe just wait until his career is officially over and let Lamb make his own number popular.
lol, Dez isn’t coming back.

Agree completely. I already have a Pearson 88 since forever ago. Give him 10 and it will be my first purchase in a very long time. A new coach along with this draft and I'm ready to come out and add to the closet. :). It's been close to 10 years since I purchased anything. Most of the new stuff I get are gifts.
