Remember when Quincy Carter and Sean Payton took the Cowboys to the Super Bowl? :muttley:

This guy is paid to talk about football.

This guy is also a total Wentz wanker. Like Wentz is the greatest talent ever to play QB type of wanker.

Ugh.

I'm listening to this now and about midway through Will Cain asks Bobby Belt if the Dallas Cowboys have basically already written off 2019 second round selection Trysten Hill as a bust.

Belt: "I had someone in the building (The Star) at the start of the off-season tell me he's like Taco Charlton. The entire building soured greatly on Taco and they're seeing the same maturity problems with Hill. He pouts and gets really low when things aren't going his way. Not in a pitching a fit kind of way, but his emotions match how good/bad things are going. Former UCF coach Scott Frost's staff endorsed drafting Hill when the new UCF staff would not. Inside the Star, they are questioning if Hill loves football, if he wants to work hard, his toughness, things like that. His maturity. They are pretty close, especially with this new coaching staff, to just writing Hill off.

This such a lame tweet. Romo also had TO when he was still killing it in the league. In addition he had Witten, Dez and Beasley in their primes. Plus he had some decent to really good RBs. I cannot stand when anyone makes a lame one-sided biased comment. Romo got screwed with some crappy OLs and sprinkled in a couple of years of really solid OLs. LOL the worst WR was Roy Williams who should have been mentioned in the tweet. That dude's time was such a waste in Dallas.

This is really discouraging to hear. It's a shame that our collective brain trust also allowed Rod that large of a say after the disaster that was Taco.

It's even more discouraging when it seemed like for once we finally valued a safety last season and was allowed to be talked out of it in favor of a DT that we knew going in had maturity issues.

Nobody ever heard of Terrell Owens or Terry Glenn until they played with Romo!
The Cowboys never spent a first round pick on a WR for Romo!
Dez Bryant

Dak Derangement Syndrome is real.

People are really about to act like Miles Austin was a good receiver until injuries messed him up.

I also love how they fail to mention how Romo had a top 3 TE OF ALL TIME. First ballot hall of famer.

the only thing encouraging is hopefully jerry allows that much free rein for the current coaches. I’m sure MM will continue to churn the roster this year.

he was picked way to early rod should of been run out of the darft room as in this draft the scouts should be do most of the drafting and not goober coaches who have no idea what they are doing

Trysten Hill needs to grow up.

It may not happen, or at least now soon enough to save Hill's job with the Dallas Cowboys, but there's a chance.

I mentioned yesterday that the new staff has no ties to Hill, but his position coach, Leon Lett, was one of the few holdovers from Jason Garrett's staff.

Lett will fight to keep Hill, who is only 22 years old. He's the second youngest player on the roster behind CeeDee Lamb.

But the light needs to come on, otherwise it looks like Hill will be another team's problem before the regular season arrives.

This draft was unreal.

CeeDee Lamb is the biggest Cowboys 1st round steal I’ve seen in my 25 years watching Cowboys drafts. We basically just added a Deandre Hopkins to our offense.

Every other draft, there’s always a few players who you just know won’t make the cut. But even our late picks like Biadasz and Anae are very good players who I think will absolutely make the team.

The one exception being the QB taken with our last pick. But I get we did it so we wouldn’t have to compete for him as an UDFA. And it was a 7th rounder so who cares.

We got a steal in every single round except for maybe Reggie Robinson. I like him a lot but he about where he should have. Everyone else was crazy value.

They also traded a 1st and a 3rd for Detroit Lions WR Roy Williams.

Apologies to all for conjuring up that happy thought. The 2009 draft class.
And I was excited too. Longhorn turned cowboy opposite t.o. What could possibly go wrong ?

Flipping Marrinelli...
I don't even care if I spelled his name right!
