Would you trade Gallup?

So dumb.

He is cheap for two years, which coincides with outs in Cooper's deal. If Gallup becomes a #1 you pay him and send Cooper packing.

If Cooper is lighting it up at that point and you can't afford to keep Gallup you let him go and it's going to bring a 3rd or 4th rounder at minimum if he's that good as a comp pick.

I am absolutely opposed to the idea for now. A year from now the Cowboys will have to evaluate and factor in things like how Lamb is progressing, and how confident they are about extending Gallup at terms we can live with.

Really? I think its a legit question. No way can we extend Gallup in 2 seasons.

We have Cee Dee Lamb now.

It's not a legitimate question at all!!!

And you know the Cowboys can't extend Gallop, how???

Cee Dee Lamb hasn't played a game in the NFL, he could be a bust for all you know!!, Half of the players selected in the first round will be busts...

And there's a better chance of Cooper being let go in two years than Gallop not being resigned..

And if Lamb or Cooper was injured, where's your depth at receiver gone if you trade Gallop??

It's not a legitimate question at all, more like a ridiculous question!!

You win now and let tomorrow take care of itself.

This question is ridiculous.

Why do fans always look at the future when this team has trouble dealing with the present?

So, J12B, how about Dallas trades Pollack for that second you covet? The team will not be able to afford him in three years.

For a 2021 2nd rounder?

I could see a team like GB or SF wanting to trade for him.

Or do you want to keep the depth since he is under contract for this season and next?

We can't pay *both* Gallup and Cooper. At this point it's not certain which one we'd rather keep in 2 years.

If Gallup leaves, it's probably guaranteed that we get a 3rd round comp pick for him anyway. Comp picks mean that it's very hard to make trading away a good player worthwhile.

So, no. I'd rather keep Gallup, keep our options with him open, and get the 3rd round comp pick we have coming.

Really? Your idea is to trade a 24 year old emerging star on a cheap contract for a 2nd round pick?

no. why? what if its a bottom of the 2nd round? you have a 1000 yard receiver. you now are 3 deep at WR. you have the option to let cooper go in a year or two....why not keep the young, up and coming guy...

you like to gamble? who is going to be available bottom of the 2nd round that would be better value than gallup...

I did see someone suggest trade gallup for adams….made me stop and think a bit....

Let's let Gallup go all Alvin Harper first before he leaves for some loser team.

Somebody refresh my memory but how far do we have to go back to find a better #2 WR than Gallup? 90’s? 80’s? Some are even arguing that Gallup is already a #1....
I think you would have to go back to Tony Hill. Harper was good but not to Gallup's status.

I see no reason to attack the op for this question. Some of you are the same people that said "don;t pay zeke let him sit" because it's a business.

For the record...I said "no way don;t pay zeke this is a business"...but I'm not gonna attack OP either.

Gallup seems poised for a "breakout".....as if 1,000 yarder needs one? But all the real greats have established their...brand if you will....not sure Gallup has done that?

And I have said it before...every single player on this team has a free pass for 2020. No one is coming for gallup with can;t refuse trade. Let's rock n roll with what we got and see where we stand with the new regime.
