Just can't help yourself can you.

BTW, he will get signed. And it will be in excess of $100M easily. Don't worry about any potential money he may or may not be losing. His new endorsements will very easily being him almost as much. Far more money than his grandkids could spend.

Just my observation as a fulltime Cowboy fan and having been in the media as a professional photographer.

While Dak mitigates his contract..

no advertiser will feature him in upcoming commercials or appearances using the Cowboy logo.

Advertisers can not risk shooting Dak and suddenly he does not play for the team becuz of a dispute.

This is costing him multi-million and he knows it.

The longer this goes on, the more it will cost. It's now May and Dak is not signing in the foreseeable future. Commercials have to be written, cast and executed to get them ready to be used.

I have said many times before about how I feel about Dak and his issues. That is not what this is about.

This is my professional opinion and Dak needs to wrap this up. Otherwise, he will not be in mini camp nor ready for TC whenever the season is given the go ahead.

QBs like Wilson, Jackson, Mahomes, Brees and others are going to get the contracts as Dak remains in limbo.

That is a lot of money to leave on the table..free money if you will.

I really do hope he and the team come to terms soon.

Both sides need the good vibes and positive image going forward.

He was in a new commercial during the draft. He’s going to be the long term QB here and everyone knows it so not sure why his endorsements would be effected!

It’s paying him $50,000,000

Is that less or more than “some people seem to think”

That’s a lot of zeroes

had to look it up. That is crazy. looks like they are including his insurance policies if he gets injured. I’d Like to know how much chunk of that 50 the insurance is.

How would companies make new commercials? Takes more than 10 people to shoot one, pretty hard for Dak to be in new ones if they're not being made.

But assuming that it's true, do we have an official sources, or is it just "from what I've seen"?

Has to be independently corroborated or otherwise it's just one person's opinion, which of course they're entitled to, but that doesn't make it so...

In 2015 Romo was earning about 5m in endorsements while Russell Wilson was earning 6.5m and Eli 9m. Dak not playing at Dallas might see a small drop in endorsement income and not paying tax is also probably a factor, but if he picked his team well it's not going to be a huge difference IMO.
Anything may happen here.

I just offered an opinion.

And I know money matters. It matters to Dak a lot so thought it might be of value discussing the player and how it affects his decisions.

Most here act like they love him or hate him.

I do not. either way.

To me he is a means to an end. Most here believe the same.

They just want to win. With whomever and how whatever.

I really do not even care if he makes a billion or nothing doing it.

Winning is the only thing that matters in Pro Football.

I can live with that. It's a business..nothing more.

That is misinformation. That $50 million number includes an insurance policy he has on himself that would only pay out if he can never pay football again.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles...rescotts-endorsements-insurance-valued-at-50m

"Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott reportedly has endorsement deals and loss of value/disability insurance policies that are worth more than $50 million."

This is the sentence that many are misquoting to say Dak has $50 million in endorsements. It's possible the insurance policy could be worth $48 million and only $2 million in endorsements and that sentence would still be true.

Reaching far. Dak's endorsements and insurance are about 50 million annually. He's not worried.

This also is a mis-quote of the same article. The article says $50 million total, not annual.

I think if you use logic..you will see it.

I have worked with video and professional photography and hired talent and overseen the whole process.

An attorney firm hired me to produce 3 commercials for them to be run on the 3 major networks in West Palm Beach.

It was deadline deadline, rewrite, resubmit to the Florida Bar, correct, then hire cameras. Crew, makeup artists, etc. Even down to ordering lunch each session for everybody.

Had a budget of $50,000 for the above plus the air time was another $100,000 for buying.

I took 2 weeks to do the whole thing. I charged them $25,000 for my work and they estimated about $1,000,000 in new business for the commercials take.

I would never do it again for that little. I also worked directly for the attorneys as a paralegal.

I took a week off afterwards I was so burned out.

So..I have a clue about this stuff. Few here know what is involved.

I just grin reading the comments from this thread.
