That's sick. Your a moderator and make a joke about people being in quarantine during a pandemic.

Real sick. You're disgusting.

Lol. First day on the innerwebs?

That was a very G rated joke. That’s also because this board barely allows PG13 related material.

I’d almost pay to see your reaction to some of the memes floating around on the Coronavirus stuff. Unintentional comedy. Probably more hilarious than many of the memes.

He is getting his butt handed to him in the court of public opinion, so he is trying to divert attention from the original premise of this thread

I didn’t even know he was the guy who created the thread.

Good point....

You have absolutely no clue what the cap will look like in two years. Much like you have absolutely no idea what a 2nd pick will do. Meanwhile Gallup may have been our best receiver last year.

It may be a valid question in the vain of "there are no dumb questions," but it's uniformed. Especially considering its already been posted more than once.
The cap will be higher in 2 years. That doesn't change the fact you only allocate but so much resources to any one position group.

If CeeDee develops as we hope are you going to pay him top money next offseason? You really cannot.

Zeke cap hit will be exploding. Same with our other guys like Lawrence etc.

It's simple cap management.

Show me another team that pays their top 3 wrs big money.

I wouldn't even trade Gallup for a first round pick. We incurred all the risk by drafting him, then invested in his development. Then he has a solid rookie year, followed by a 1,100 yard season despite missing time. That's essentially what you'd want/expect from a first round talent, with the expectation that they'd continue their development in that all-important third season.

For all we know, he still turns into the best WR on the team. Trading him right before he "flips the switch" is the kind of move that haunts you for years.

For a 2021 2nd rounder?

I could see a team like GB or SF wanting to trade for him.

Or do you want to keep the depth since he is under contract for this season and next?

Dallas can get out of the Amari Cooper contract after 2021 as it is structured as such:

2020 Cap Hit $12M Dead Money $40M

2021 Cap Hit $22M Dead Money $28M

2022 Cap Hit $22M Dead Money $6M

2023 Cap Hit $22M Dead Money $4M

2024 Cap Hit $22M Dead Money $2M

If Gallup continues to improve and Lamb shows he is a solid #1 or #2 WR then Dallas could trade Cooper after the 2021 campaign season and save a lot of money which could then go towards resigning Gallup given Gallup's deal ends after the 2021 season.

With Lamb locked up through 2025 (including the rookie 5th year option) Dallas is in a good position regarding their WR's.

Also keep in mind Zeke Elliott's contract:

2020 Cap Hit $10.9M Dead Money $35.4M

2021 Cap Hit $13.7M Dead Money $24.5M

2022 Cap Hit $16.5M Dead Money $10.8M

2023 Cap Hit $15M Dead Money $6.7M

2024 Cap Hit $12.6M Dead Money $2.6M

2025 Cap Hit $15.4M Dead Money $0

2026 Cap Hot $16.6M Dead Money $0

So if BOTH Cooper (after the 2021 season) and Zeke (after the 2022 season) are traded/released, then Dallas is looking at the following cap savings starting in 2022:

2022 $16M saved (Cooper)

2023 $30.3M saved (Cooper & Zeke)

2024 $34.6M saved (Cooper & Zeke)

2025 $15.4M saved (Zeke)

2026 $16.6M saved (Zeke)

While both players would be missed and any saved money would go towards Gallup possibly or other free agents, that is still a lot of money to be saved if the moves are made.

"In two years"

So let's trade him now...

No clue what happens with Cooper. No clue what happens with Lamb. No clue what happens with Dak. Yeah, great plan.

If a team calls and says we have a 2nd we can offer. You measure it against those eventualities.

Anytime you trade from a position group of strength there is injury risk. It's football not checkers.

Also 2 years maximum. Gallup is going to want to get paid next offseason.

I know I didn't have to respond to this thread.. but why do fans always feel the need to subtract from a positive.
Defensive coordinators will be having fits trying to even game plan against this head scratching nightmare of an offense.
Why do we even feel the need to distract from that pleasure as fans?

Really? I think its a legit question. No way can we extend Gallup in 2 seasons.

We have Cee Dee Lamb now.
I'd rather see what Cooper looks like in 2 years...if he continues to disappear in road games and big games, let him go

That’s just it. This league is about being unstoppable at something- it makes your whole team elevate.

if you can create an imbalance ( like our WR trip) it opens up the entire game.

The titans could run the ball down anyone’s throat last year- like we did 3 years ago.
The broncos won the SB several seasons ago because they sacked the passer every third time they threw.

I love balance, but if you can’t have that.......have this.
