Is Trysten Hill still salvageable?

No,...I think he is soft in all respects. I dont think he makes it out of camp without being traded for a late round pick " if we can find a team dumb enuff" or more likely just cut. Terrible pick when we did it,.... best to just cut bait and move on IMO.

Maybe. Hill has an incredibly freakish burst at the snap. A good coaching staff should be able to utilize that trait, in a rotational role at the very least.

Yes of course.

You gotta give him the 3 year rule at least.

He was a 2nd round pick that we reached for as well and should’ve been a 3rd.
This ^. Btw how nice was it to have a draft where we didn't reach.

Its up to him. He has to come in to camp dialed in. Thats his big problem. Physically he is more talented than Gallimore

what are we basing that off of ?
Galliore weighs about the same as Hill , and he was projected as a 2nd round pick - as Cowboys insisted they were tight on choosing decision
between Diggs and Gallimore

The league and the Cowboys are littered with players who didn't set the world on fire their rookie year and still had a very good career. I don't understand why it's a long shot considering he was a very late 2nd round pick, came in raw and we knew he needed work. Now we have learned the coaches did about everything they could to mess this kid up.

True, but most of those players weren’t a healthy scratch for 12 games during their rookie season. Most didn’t make news for falling asleep in a meeting and being sent home by their HC for being late for another meeting only 5 days later. Hill likely wouldn’t have suited up for the games he did had it not been for Crawford’s injury. He didn’t step up which is one of the reasons the Cowboys made the trade for Bennett. The writing is on the wall for Hill entering the 2020 season. Rod Marinelli had the biggest influence for why we drafted him and he’s no longer here. We have a new HC and DC. We’ve added McCoy and we drafted a rookie DT in the third round that many are high on which is going to make it difficult for Hill to stay on the roster if he doesn’t improve. If he’s not good enough to suit out for games in 2020 he won’t be here.
