CLEBURNE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – One of the newest members of the Dallas Cowboys is making sure he does not forget where he comes from.

And the Cowboys have made it easy for him.

That’s because 4th round draft choice, cornerback Reggie Robinson is from Cleburne, about 30 miles south of Fort Worth.

“I came from Cleburne, too.” Robinson told a group of current Cleburne High School football players in a Zoom meeting. “Nothing is impossible. All you have to do is keep working, and that one opportunity you get, use it the best you can.”

I LOVE THAT SMILE! How can you not be excited for him. Back to that smile because I love it so much. Majority of people who wear a smile like that they will succeed in life in whatever they do. Another reason why I knew Jaylon Smith would recover from that horrific injury. He's another with a positive mentality. GO COWBOYS!

P.s. I would give you a like but I'm sill on probation. Lol :(

I'd like to see this kid make the switch to safety where he can be of more help to the secondary. He's smart and able to adapt to this position change rather easily, IMO.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Reggie can do on the football field.

He actually seems like a good character guy, so that might help his cause also.

I love this pick..

I almost posted that morning that I wanted him in the 4th.

Great athlete that had some good college production. This is a good player to gamble on.

Do u think he can play SS by any chance? I’ve never seen him play...

Cleburne looked so much like Claiborne that I almost got triggered at first glance...

I went to Cleburne high school back in the 80s.
Wow!! An Alum of Cleburne. I pray Robinson success. I love driving by elementary, middle and high school that have athletic structures more impressive than school...

Usually an Alum built a football field or track or hockey rink... hopefully Robinson gives back

Congratulations Clove

By chance do you know a guy by the name of Mark Olsen prob a late 70's grad from there? Roomed with him in college at Texas Tech. Great kid.

Did not know anything about him when they drafted him. But more people posted and the more I read. I really like this pick.
In another thread McClay went through the process of choosing RR II. Even Kiper had him shooting up the boards and wondered why he was still available.

We got another draft steal here, probably a round behind where he should have been selected.
