You don't take 350 touches a year and excel in pass blocking at Zeke's college weight. That college guy would either be coming out every third play (and shut up if you wanna complain about Zeke coming out for literally a single play and a backup making a horrible mistake) or missing a ton of games to injury.
That guy as Zeke's collee weight had a pretty good rookie season if I do recall.

The difference?

Romo's production usually from previous year to new season despite those stupid threads got better.

Zeke hasn't been as good as he was his rookie year since. And...well..he's obviously gotten bigger. Do you actually want to debate that?

Zeke hasn’t had as many carries as he had his rookie year and his OL hasn’t been nearly as good a run blocking unit as it was his rookie year. Since his rookie year Tyron has had his share of injury issues along with Zack Martin. Frederick missed an entire season with a disease and wasn’t near as good last season as his previous seasons which led to his retirement. Plus Connor Williams has had his share of struggles. Zeke’s rushing totals the past couple of seasons haven’t been that far off his rushing total from 2016. Last season he had more catches and more receiving yards than he had his rookie year.

Last season his 12 rushing TDs were only one off his combined total the previous two seasons. In 2018 his 77 receptions was a franchise record for RBs. It was more than double the receptions he had his rookie season. In 2016 we ran the ball more than we have the last three seasons mainly because we had a rookie QB. In 2016 we had arguably the best OL in the entire league and we allowed Zeke to feast behind it. The more experience Dak has gotten and the better we’ve gotten at receiver has made us more of a pass oriented offense.

Seldom do you see a back rush for 1357 yards with 12 rushing TDs when they have a QB that passed for almost 5000 yards with two 1000 yard receivers. Zeke’s production hasn’t dropped off that much the past three seasons. He’s led the entire league in rushing twice and would have led the league in rushing three times in his first four seasons had it not been for a six game suspension. He’s arguably our best player and it’s becoming tiring seeing fans like you look for every opportunity to bash him. Good luck debating that his production the past three seasons hasn’t been real good. You’ll be wasting your time!

Thanks a lot Jerry for throwing away so much money on a fat RB!

FEED ME!!!! $15+ million per year longterm contract. Yeah, we see the result.

Yet, Dak keeps getting in better shape and playing better every year, but Jerry doesn't want to pay him?

21 so fat he gotta iron his drawers on the lawn.

Seriously, this 'Zeke's fat' thing comes up every off season then he goes and runs for a bucket load of yards. Just let him do his thing and chill.

Zeke came into rookie camp overweight. He whined about having to wake up on day 2 and got called out by his mother.

We saw him coming on All or Nothing looking like he just showed up at The Star directly from the night club and in need of a nap. He needed the 6 week suspension to get in shape for the final 2 games of the season.

It’s not like he has this great work ethic in the off season where he comes in ready to rock and roll. He’s surviving on natural talent. As good as he is, he could be better. But many will settle for a ton of carries and a mediocre yards per carry average and no big plays.

Behind our line and his talent, he needs to be over 5 yards per carry, like he was his rookie year, even despite his slow start. We need 2016 Zeke back.

What else is there to do these days? Stay home, get fat, read his playbook, count his money. ;)

This is the second Zeke fat thread I’ve seen in the past three weeks. The first thread didn’t even show a picture of him and the picture of him posted in this thread is from at previous season. It’s been a while since he’s had a haircut like that. If you’re going to complain about players weight at least post a recent picture.
I was literally about to post the same thing. Pretty sure that’s from his second season when he led the league in rushing until his suspension as well.

He led the league in rushing his second year? If not for the suspension he would have had 3 straight rushing titles

My problem with Zeke stems from meeting him in Oxnard his rookie season and his attitude and work ethic. He is obviously immensely talented, but it always takes him 2 or 3 games every season to get going. Moreover, I’ve met thousands and thousands of people (I was a top 100 Honda salesman in the nation in my career) & I met Zeke in 2016 (I lived in Camarillo which is an extremely expensive area about 10 miles from Oxnard; where the Cowboys have training camp). I had the opportunity to meet quite a few Cowboys; including Zeke. This kid is the biggest DBag I’ve ever met in my life and I hate to say that because I’m a die hard Cowboys fan since I was a 5 year old kid. Luckily we drafted a very capable replacement last season (if he comes in out of shape and isn’t ready to go) & his contract is structured in such a way where we have an out in a couple years without having a large amount of dead money!
