Sometimes fans/media think certain QBs don't have great arm strength became some QBs don't always throw with max velocity.

If the situation does not require max velocity, then there's no point throwing as hard as possible, especially in college. It just makes the ball more difficult to catch.

He has to beat out Rush first. And if he is accurate and continues to improve then Dak may want to rethink wanting a short term deal. We will see. Could you imagine JJ giving Dak a 3 year deal and at the end when he wants to cash in again in the long term we say nope. Lol. Greed may bite him...

honestly I don't envision that but its a good problem to have. Dak is a quality QB despite what we hear on this board and if this kid is good enough to unseat him then that's a win for the cowboys.Guess well have to see if this kid's Stephen McGee or TR

Yep and if we had that problem then we maybe able to trade Dak for some good picks... I see us sticking with Dak. But will be fun to watch him battle with Rush..

It's important to the point of necessity. Beyond that I highly doubt any QB is going to start over a better QB due to his arm strength.

It's not important to have the strongest arm, but it is excessively important to have an arm that is strong enough.
