I see no downside to this attempt at resurrection.

The only downside if he does come back to at least 80% of the player he once was which is still great you've only got him for one year. I would have rather locked him to two or three year if possible at a low contract with lots of stat escalators built into the contract.

Apparently, older and fatter pro bowl DL is what the defense has been lacking all these years.

Jay Glazer is a fat elf of a man and I refuse to take his word for who is in shape. The commish needs to reinstate this man so he can come to training came and prove himself worthy to continue his NFL career. I think he can do it but I need to see it.

His bond with the NY vet group is a great thing to hear about. It hits close to home for me. I hope he finds a vet group in Texas to bond with, that would be a great behavior to continue once he relocates.

Glazer (left). Is he fat? Maybe a fat head...

I'm surely not counting on Aldon Smith to simply come forth and save the day but it should be interesting to see what comes of his return. He's vastly removed from his former football conditioning by now and wasn't doing too well before his departure from the game. Should anything happen to show something resembling promise, I'd be amazed. 'Til then, I'll do my best to keep my unbridled optimism at bay. It won't keep me from hoping, tho!

If you can rush the passer, you can rush the passer. Some things just can't be taught.

Aldon Smith is one of those guys.

Jay Glazer sounds like an idiot. He’s a tough guy wanna be with that shaved head and goatee. I heard he tried to start a fight with Peyton Manning. I also heard he did MMA with Richie Incognito. He’s nothing but a fast talking loudmouth.

That's basically what I thought about him originally, I have new found respect for him in recent years as I learned more about him.

During this year's draft Glazer knew exactly which player most teams were going to pick.

He has legit inside information on many NFL teams.

He actually does great work with his organization Merging Veterans and Players.
