Great move. Likely tells us the new staff is going to move on from Rush and let Dalton mentor DiNucci.

Also should remember - Dak had a really good relationship with the other vet backups - singled out both Sanchez and Moore for praise (Romo, not so much).

Dalton is a back up who might steal you a game or two if Dak is hurt. Let's no forget that last year Dak was pretty badly messed up going in to a critical game in Philly. He was off all day and maybe a vet gets the nod over him in that game

Underrated and not nearly as bad as people think..

He did well in Cincy and got Dak Prescott like results in a environment not nearly as optimal as Dak’s..
Is that what you want to believe?

It's fun watching you anti-Dakers squirm, then continue to get proven wrong. Dak will be our starter for many years to come. Bank on it. With Dalton signed as backup for 1 year, it solidifies our backup QB position and allows our Offense to keep rolling at least for this 2020 season if Dak were to ever go down with injury.
Yeah, because Dak slobberers have been so accurate about predicting what's going to happen...

There was a whole thread on here where someone said sign Andy Dalton and Dak slobberers were laughing like it would never happen. Who's laughing now, genius?

I'm on record saying the Cowboys have no chance in hell of signing Andy Dalton. He's just too good of a QB to be a current backup. I thought his perfect fit right now would be with the Patriots. Mike McCarthy is clearly serious about his QB room. I don't mind being wrong in this case.
