Does anyone have an estimate? Just curious if we are done or if we have anymore to spend.

Also, can we save money by cutting Cooper Rush? Cause I think he’s gone.

Still holding out hope we cut Crawford to free money to spend on better players, but I’m wondering what the cap is now if we don’t cut or restructure him.

We save 2.1m when we cut Rush so this signing didn't really affect much.

We have between 4m - 8m in cap space depending on if the incentives on Dalton's contract are "likely to be earned". Cooper Rush's contract appears not to be guaranteed so we get 1.5m of cap space back if we cut him.

That’s true, but for the first time they have real depth on the defensive line. But I agree, his versatility is an asset and also, people don’t realize this but Tank has had his best games when playing beside Crawford. It’s because Crawford runs stunts well and Tank is the beneficiary.

As fans, most of us don’t spend hours watching tape, we just see his numbers. I think Crawford makes the team.

Okay awesome, thank you. So 4-8 million + 1.5 of Rush's + 8 million of Crawford's means we could easily get to 13.5-17.5 million more to spend. That's fantastic news. That's enough to sign Clowney, Griffin or Logan Ryan. Not that I think we will. But we can.

without a view of the roster board in Stephens office, it’s tough to see who is on their way out, but TCrawford and Rush have to be red lined.

thats 10 mill off the top.

Just over $3 million. Cowboys currently have about $10.5 million in space with Woods’s tender already on the books. The rookie class will cost about $2.8 million. Worley’s cap hit is just under $3m, so accounting for the offseason rule of 51, has a net impact of $2.2 million. Dalton’s cap hit is unknown due to potential incentives and bonuses, but it has to be at least $3 million, so a net impact of $2.25 million. That would put us at $3.25 million in space.

As for ways to create space:

Extending Dak would save $8-10 million.
Cutting Crawford would save $7.25 million.
Cutting Rush would save about $1.4 million.

The team could also restructure the following players:

DeMarcus Lawrence - $11.9m
Zack Martin - $8m
Tyron Smith - $6.7m
Jaylon Smith - $3.5m
