If Dak were gone you would be the one with nothing to do here since you have no abilty to post on any other topic. You really can’t even post rationally on Dak, you just think you can so you try.
And just like 10 years with Romo, these type are only effective cause it causes a stir from others. Ignoring them is only effective deterrence.

Can they just rename this thread “Dak Haters Unite!”?

Honestly, some of you guys are embarrassing.

Had Dak just accepted a contract around 30 mil this wouldnt of even been a discussion. Some of the fans would of still been annoyed with his play but overall this would be over. Even though Dak, Jerry and Stephen have tried to keep this out of the media, this has been dragging on so long and made many people angry with Dak and the way they view him. I think he has gone past the point of no return. This length of contract talk has been a indirect smoke screen that they are feeding the media. We all know its about the money. There is no question Dak deserves to be paid but he needs to come down off his high horse and get back to reality. This is not the agents fault because he works for Dak. At any point Dak could just call his agent and say get me signed asap!!

Absolutely love this signing. Dalton is a solid QB that can definitely win games, especially in our offense. This puts pressure on Dak to move his butt and we now have a Dinucci as the 3rd QB to groom.

Cant say enough how much a REAL coach has done for this team. He is knocking out all our weaknesses one by one. Incredible.

Dalton’s playoff numbers, 55.7% completion, 1 TD, 6 INT, 3.9 Y/A, 57.8 rating in 4 games all WC losses.

This is during Dalton’s prime with All Pro receivers AJ Green, Pro Bowler Gresham, thousand yard rushers Benson and Hill....

Dak’s playoff numbers 64.1% completion 5TD, 2 INT, 7.7 Y/A, 95.7 rating, 1-2 record.

One and done if Cowboys must depend on Dalton for a playoff game.

On the contrary , I think this gives them more leverage with a veteran starter signed.

The best leverage is appearing to be able to move on without him.
I see this as breathing room for the Cowboys. Now they can live with waiting on Dak to play on the tag if they can't come to an agreement. It doesn't bode well for Rush if the rookie looks good in camp.

Clutch?
You must be watching a different team than the rest of us.
Dak choked against Minnesota, Buffalo, Chicago, and the Eagles- all with the season on the line.
Get real.
Ummm. So does he not get credit for OT win against philly? Or how about winning in both lambeau and Pittsburgh as a rookie? Or how about we go back just a year when he put the team on his back against Seattle in the playoffs. Some of you people make me actually disgusted to be a cowboy fan. You will stop at nothing to knock the guy but forget all the times he has proven you wrong. And done it as one of the most underpaid players in the league to boot. Lol. Go kick rocks friend.

As a football move signing a solid backup QB for that money is a B+ move.

As a way to stir scat on this message board it's an A+++.

The idea that Dalton is a franchise savior in the wings is intensely stupid. Half this forum would try to argue that Nathan Peterman is better than Dak Prescott because this place is full of terminal psychotics.

Dalton exhibited all the sins of Dak and more on the Bengals, including many Bengals teams with good defenses and Pro Bowlers on offense.

Make no mistake: Jerry and Stephen just sent a message to Dak and his agent. The Cowboys are preparing to roll without Dak if needed.
I doubt that negotiations will be pursued much after this point.

I guarantee you next week when asked about the Dalton signing, Stephen will continue to say the same thing he has always said: Dak is our guy and we want him here long term blah blah blah... Andy is a solid vet QB and we wanted to improve our roster etc...

Dalton is an EXCELLENT choice for backup QB. Much better than Rush and can hopefully play well enough for us to win a few games should Dak get hurt... but if you are saying that the FO is sending a “sign the deal or we are giving the keys to Andy” message to Dak, I think that is mistaken.
