There's no way Dak holds out imo but if he does I say sink or swim with Dinucci.

I like DeNucci but I think the probability of him making the roster is very slim since we are so high on Cooper Rush for whatever reason.

I really wish we could take a look at journeymen guys like an Andy Dalton or even a Cam Newton. They could fill that "Bernie Kosar" or "Steve Beuerlein" type backup role that we had in the Jimmy era.
I would be comfortable with spending 3 mil on Dalton.

Plan A: Sign Dak to a multi year contract..
Plan B: Dak plays under franchise tag
Plan C: What if Dak holds out and doesn't sign the franchise tag contract... Is a veteran bought in... Is Rush next man up...
andy Dalton lol

Dalton is legit...Dak can pack!
no but its great insurance if dak doesnt sign , holds, out or gets hurt Andy can win a game or two ie like a Foles helped philly we sure could have used A vet last year uinthe second half of that philly game.. think Dalton would have misse 4 Wide open WRs down field for huge plays some scoring etc? bum shoulder or not MM doesnt have to be loyal to dak, if hes having a bad game, injured etc Pull his butt and go try and win the game vs plodding through mud all game only to lose.. sparks are needed in games..

I really wanted a Jhurts type to use as a weapon and as a BUP QB but a Vet is very nice..

think Rushs days are numbered? Does DInucci take his clip board?

DiNucci is the coach's new Flynn. Dalton is Dak with more experience. Neither is a frachise QB but, Dalton is cheap and can serve as a legit bridge to the future.

both are franchise qbs neither is elite..many QBs from 10-32 can be a franchise qb when they start 5-10 years and win more games then they lose.. Thes are Alex Smith types there arent 32 Mahomes type lying around..

I think we wait and see until July 15th and go from there.
But OP needs to know now. Please explain all 237 different permutations and possibilities and assign probability to each one

thanks

Dalton is only 32 and most likely has 3 more years to play. He isn't going to make 30mil per year and Dak may be worth two number 1's. Time to act a little like the Patriots and
move on.

dude reality check, its way too far into FA to now trade dak, less suitors not many teams need a Starting qb at this point and for sure wont be willing to give 2 1sts for dak, ship has sailed on that for 2020.. 2021 yes off season start early and seek trades

Two- dak doesnt sign FT if hes being told hes traded, you cant be traded while under unsigned tag so he would have to approve trade first and all deals nice they are in place he signs FT and then traded that monet..

neither side has a lot fo leverage at this point in the off season as FA and the draft has past and most teams have their Starters.. the ones like NE will not give up 2 1sts for dak anyway ..

Dak will play this year , when he dices to come in and sign the tag we dont know but hes playing..

True, Jerry is going to have to pay Dak something for this next year. We can only hope he holds out for half the season and we get a refund. Next year, we give Dak the non-exclusive tag and
hopefully get our two no. 1's for him... Time to move on and maybe Dalton can lead us to a place Dak never could. We're fixin to see.

plan B if this pan of your is to work is have a another Qb to already start learning under Dalton hes a one year bridge in 2021 to this hypothetical plan.. maybe a 20021 Draft pick 2nd round or so for a QB..

So maybe we have to get a 2nd round pick for an original 4th round QB. Good value for Jerry if it comes to that. Dak is a pretender, not a contender.
