raise your hand if you want to give him a 30 million dolla pay raise cause the cowboys just can’t can’t manage to be 8-8 without dak. He did so much for them. Lol

When the season was over, I thought anything over $20 million was too much for him and all of sudden it became $30 million, then $35 million, then $40 million. I haven’t really changed my mind but I know it’s going to be North of $33 million when it happens so I’ve come to grips with it. I’d have no issue whatsoever if they found a way to trade him. I don’t want to see him go without proper draft pick compensation for a franchise QB.

Ah finally, a thread about Dak's contract. I was wondering when one of these was going to pop up.

It will be very interesting to see what happens if Dak plays the season under the tag. One of two things can happen but I will be amused either way.

1. Team goes 8-8 or 9-7 and Dak hits free agency in 2021. What would I find amusing about this? That someone would lose all of that money by bickering over a few million.

2. Dak kills it and the team goes 14-2 to 12-4 and Dallas is one of the major threats for a championship. Unless Jerry craps gold he may have to mortgage that yacht with the contract he's going to have to pay out.

There is a pretty hard cap so no mortgaging needed on the yacht - roughly the same money will be spent by Jerry regardless. Just how much goes to Dak versus other Cowboys players is the question.

how much goes to dak? Are you stupid? Dak threatened you hold out.....cowboys called his bluff and got a better player. Dak is history. Yes, if dak chooses to sign the tag (which he threatened not to sign) like we couldn’t get a bum to win those 8 games he won last year.......then dak will make $30m this year.....and if he is lucky, dakotah prescott might make another $10m in his entire football life.

I want to see dak hold out and use his “leverage”. Since he is so good. I want to see him put it in action lol

This holding out (GREED) isn't setting a good example or good moral for this team (you see it in the fans). It will eventually produce a cancer for this team and locker room. It seems his attitude is I HAVE to be the highest-paid QB in the league. I would not feel sorry for him if this all comes back and bites him in the butt - he deserves it. He should count his blessings. We're talking enough money for many lifetimes.
