... and went 4-8 against teams not named the Giants or Commanders. Doesn't mean a hill of beans.

Plus they played from behind quite a bit and abandoned the run in the ‘process’ as usual. And to top it off he did nothing against the Eagles, then lit up the Commanders the following week! can’t win when you need it the most against a decimated football team but certainly wont miss an opportunity to pad those stats against the crappiest team in football while on your way to cleaning out your lockers! That’s the Cowboy way!!

Like I said, you have to start working from the bottom and work up if you can unless you start at the top. Dak was a 4th round draft pick for a reason. Brady was definitely worth his money, Dak not so much.
It’s a simple question that you don’t need to dance around. Were you or were you not happy with Dak during his rookie contract?

Playoff Games
Dak: 3 in 4 years (75%)
Dalton: 4 in 9 years (44%)

Apples and oranges, anybody?

If nothing else, Dalton gives us a vastly better plan B than Cooper Rush ever could. If it puts a bit of pressure on Dak's camp to make a deal, so much the better.

I find it funny that two completely different style QB's that played in two different systems for two different organization are being compared for what they've done on-field. IMHO

Yep, his first two years I was okay with him but not enamored. Last two years when he should have made the big jump, not so much. He's a real good guy and a decent QB but, not franchise
material in my evaluation. He's much like Foles such that he can play but, shouldn't be the highest paid guy ever.

It's like the Tom Brady paradox. Does he have the same career if drafted by any of those crap teams back in 2000 Browns, Bengals, Eagles, Bears, Saints.. etc. Same applies here for Dak and Dalton. different teams and different circumstances!

Exactly, Dalton has had success as well as Dak. I'm more comfortable knowing Dalton can come in if Daks injured than I would be Rush or DiNucci

After watching how sloppy the backup job has been handled for quite some time now considering that was supposed to be Garrett's strength, you would think fans would be happy with this signing? BU QB has been a joke. The team simply dropped the ball in that area on a regular basis. Great move by McCarthy!

As sturdy as Prescott IS, he's not immune to injury and there's always the chance his hold-out could last into real games.

Dak has won 1 more playoff game than Dalton, and with a much much better OL, RB and WRs.

Dak is better than Dalton, no doubt. But I don't think Dak's 1 more playoff win over him is worth an extra $30 million.

Dak has been in the league 1/3rd as much time.
Are you kidding? Lol

Most players will miss games. It's a rough sport. This team never prepared for that eventuality. Just horrible. They now have a developmental guy and a solid backup. Neither of those things existed before.

Dalton has one less playoff win than the amazing Dak.

Yet Dalton is not demanding to be the highest paid QB in the league, weird.

Not weird at all. Dalton just got dumped for a rookie. What demands could he possibly make? :muttley:

It’s comical watching the excitement over Dalton.

I think I have to disagree with you on this one. Dalton has the “tools”. If the team can get him to eliminate the “bad” plays he could be a very good QB.

I see it as sign players and let the best man win. Why wouldn't a true fan of the TEAM...want that. If it';s Dak then let it be Dak....If it's Andy that cheer him on as hard as you can.

Why should we just automatically assign Andy his back up role. We let Dak keep Tony's job out of superstition. That doesn't work.

I'm not saying a bad game get's you benched for the year...BUT.....Let the best players fight for the job.

I'm not against the idea. It should always be a competition. But I believe Dak is the better QB and will win.
