Lol I remember when people were mad we tendered him as if it was some huge financial handcuff. We are gonna get a real good look at our WR’s/TE’s this preseason.

LOL...……..My god...……..MM didn't even want to see the guy. LOL

And this is the backup that the horrid Garrett chose for the last two years?

Thank you Jerry for firing the clapping carrot. :oldcouple::oldcouple::oldcouple:

MM isn’t the GM.

Going from Rush to Dalton cost $900,000.

Give or take $4M in incentives if he actually plays though. Makes perfect sense with Dak unsigned and a new offense being put in place. I’m just glad Jerry did it, because the book on him is that he doesn’t like paying for players who aren’t on the field. Which is the reason Orton was the last ‘high profile’ QB on the roster.

Clearly the staff saw more potential in Denucci competing. Rush will probably be brought in for another team's camp and maybe has a shot at being the #3 QB.

Just my guess but I think we carry 3 QB
DiNucci is a guy they wanted bad enough to use a pick on because they know many teams wanted him as a UDFA
Don’t think they give them another chance to get him

The also have Thurston Howell on the PS.

For me, there's two interesting points about this move:

1. Rush was due $2.1 million; so Andy Dalton only costs 900k with Rush's release.

2. The current coaching staff must see more upside in Clayton Thorson than Rush.

Nobody outside of the Saints are paying that much for a 3rd QB.

Saints are only doing because Brees is on his last legs and Hill seems more of a gadget guy than a true QB.

Rush majored in math.

Cowboys analytics department likely to sign him up?

I credit Rush with lasting as long as he did, noodle-arm from Central Michigan.

Interesting...If the Cowboys do not sign Cam Newton in the next week, the Jones and Prescott saga will be over as McCarthy wants 3 QB on the roster consisting of a starter, a quality back up, and a developmental QB.

Farewell, Cooper Rush -- and to think we hardly knew thee! At least, you got a taste of the bigtime for a while, there! :flagwave::thumbup:
