Been meaning to do this, and haven't gotten around to it. On the plus side its let the draft marinate for a little bit.

-I believe this is a team that should be able to win 10+ games over the next 4 seasons. Thats another reason why Lamb was the right pick. If I am correct about that, we are very unlikely to have more opportunities at top 10 talent.

- Multiple front schemes tend to be agressive as far as blitzing. A key coverage for agressive fronts is the abilty to play press man on in coverage. You can be agressive with other coverages, but press man gives you the best payoff with its ability to disrupt patterns and timing in the passing game. With the talk of playing Awuzie some at S, I wonder if the Cowboys consider Diggs as a possible #1 CB during the 2020 season.

- Gallimore is a guy Im really interested in see how he translates to the NFL. He has great upfield burst, but he is a more linear athlete. Will be very interesting to see how he is used and what he becomes in the NFL.

- The fact they moved to get Biadasz tells me they want him competing to to start at OC. Could mean they see McGovern as an OG and not an OC. Will be interesting to see who is competing with who in camp

Bob Sturm had a great article that Diggs, Robinson and Anae completely change our defense.

I think Biadasz needs more time and McGovern starts in 2020, but it looks like I'm one of the few.
I want to see if they actually have McGovern competing at OC and not OG

I'm not claiming inside knowledge but the Cowboys had a high second round grade on him he played Center as a Junior. I'm basing that on the idea he is the best option but with the new staff there are obviously a ton of things we won't see until training camp.

Good points. Thanks for sharing.

i think they are going to full throttle confident with Tyler Biadasz as a starting center, but just like McGovern needs to show and prove his nod as a LG , i like to
see Tyler to be able to earn and prove his nod as the starting center, plus Tyler has to prove he's fully recovered from post surgeries.

Maliek was athletic, just a Gallimore is athletic. Leon Lett's best coaching attributes is the get off at the line, the first step explosive off the blocks and getting
rid of blockers vs run or pass. Read where he lost considerable weight to play at 305 lbs.

Utah edge rusher Bradlee Anes is one i'm looking at - he may have Terrell Suggs like traits about him. He wont impress you in drills and measurement workouts but yet you see him constantly in the backfield and after the QB. 30 sacks in 3 years , he simply has a knack for sacking the QB.

Interesting on Biadasz....wonder if McGovern stays at LG now. That would probably make some sense. Biadasz and McGovern have to both be viewed as starters by 2021.

Also since Williams appears to be the best swing tackle option, he probably shouldnt be the starting LG.

-I'm interested in the new schemes on both sides of the football
-There is a lot of unknowns what will happen along the line and in the secondary
-Who plays this designated pass rushing role

A big question with Williams is where is he in terms of rehab with his knee? If he isnt going to be 100%, that might force their hand with McGovern

I love the speculation, the depth on the OL gives us the ability to look at a lot of options in TC and preseason.

And also open a door for a Knight/Hyatt battle for swing tackle...which should scare all of us.

Fleming got to be expensive but if you're going all in to win now....including the backup QB...I'm not sure how you leave yourself thin at both tackle spots.

If they feel Collins could play LT they may be able to get away with having only Knight around.

But right...hard to figure on any of it without knowing about Williams' knee.

Diggs - With Awuzie is moving to Safety, DAL signed Worley to be a fill-in starter until Diggs gets good enough to start later in the season. RCB - Lewis/Canaday/Robinson
LCB - Worley/Diggs/Goodwin
SCB - Brown

Badasz - McGovern is better at LG than C. You have to factor in CWill's ACL. Looney vs Badasz is the only battle I see atm.
C - Badasz/Looney/Redmond
LG - McGovern/Williams
RG - Martin/Wichmann
LT - Smith/TBD/Hyatt
RT - Collins/Knight

We all know Ceedee should be solid, if not, really good, but if Diggs and Badasz can become quality starters as rookies label the draft a success.

Gallimore - rotation
Robinson - no better than Michael Jackson last year. Inactive.
Anae - rotation/STs, hard to get past Smith n RG.

I see 2-3 starters and 4-5 contributors. B+ draft.

Probably Looney and McGovern competing while they develop the rookie.

That would be a good thing because the talent will translate to wins. Also, in the past recent drafts there hasn't been much separation talent-wise between the top ten and the 11-20 players. There are just as good players to be had later in the first round as the top ten.

I'm really fine with any of those three winning the job, but I think McGovern has a lot more upside than Looney. I love Looney as a backup but he was a big dropoff in line calls when he started (though everyone is from Travis Frederick).

Bladasz was a great draft pick, but I do think he needs a year in the film room (and maybe fully recover from injuries but I haven't dug into that).

I see Biadsz as a stash pick, and I really wonder if he's fully recovered from his injuries. He was a 3 year starter at an OL factory and a Rimington Award winner with pro-caliber measurables. Those kind of guys don't last until the end of the 4th. If you just take his 2018 tape, he looks like a top 50 pick.

Maybe we caught the league sleeping on him, maybe teams were too afraid to draft him without being able to see a medical checkup, but something just doesn't add up for me.

Either way, I think Looney is ready to play right now, and McGovern probably is too if his injury doesn't linger. If Biadsz is 100% ready to go then I could see him competing for snaps too, but if he was ready to go then the league probably wouldn't have let him drop to pick #146.
