Is Dak tradeable?

During this entire negotiation between Dak & Dallas, I assumed worst case scenario is Dallas gets two 1st round draft picks in trade. Now I am not so certain there is a market for Dak considering his asking price. An NFL team would need to part with two valuable 1st round picks and at same time meet Dak contract demands. So in effect another NFL team would need to over-pay with draft assets (two 1st) and cap assets (contract terms). Is there really that many (if any) NFL teams who would do that for player not ranked in Top 8 NFL QBs?

Technically yes once he signs the franchise tender but that is an extremely far fetched scenario. Teams aren't giving up a 1st for him much less 2.

Good points. The salary cap hit AND picks mean that teams pay on the double.

No team will pay "market value" AND give up 2 x 1sts.

I think some would give up a 1st if he were signed to a longer term deal, but probably not to get him on a one year franchise tag.

He is tradeable but whoever you trade him to will have to be willing to give him a new contract and will be in the same scenario as we are right now, probably even worst since he probably would want even more to play for another team knowing its not the Dallas Cowboys.

Agree with the above posts. No team is giving up two 1st round picks.
Will be lucky to get a 1st round for him, unless some team loses a QB to injury and offers it up.

Another Dak thread... I bet some can't sleep at night or wake up in cold sweats thinking about this dude. Stop it!!!! It's not healthy. Especially if you're already in a relationship. Lol.

Reported for trolling.

The tenderhearts are weeping and gnashing their teeth over someone even posing the questIon.

I know BrainPaint would need a Valium having to listen to this question. Some others have suggested to add Scotch to the Valiums.

Sure, but Dak owns all leverage there with not signing the tag.

Doesn't want to go to Jacksonville? Won't sign the tag, for example, till the point Jax just moves on with Minshew.

People have this false idea that dak has to be traded for 2 first round picks. That isn't how it works. Dallas can trade Dak for whatever compensation they want to trade him for. Of course dak has to sign his tag for any trade to go through, but that's a given..nobody is trading anything for dak unless they can agree to a contract extension..so dak signing the tag isn't an obstacle

actually I think you could get a one for him not two firsts but one for sure but I dont think a team is allowed to circumvent the Tag rules so they cant tell a team hey we will take first, at least thats how I understand it,.,you would have to have him sign a long term deal with deal in place that the other trade partner agrees with and then trade him and his new contract plus a first and say a 3rd or something//..
NBA sign and trade, can the NFL allow it? before the trade deadline?

This is stupid. Dak will go anywhere that pays him what his asking price is.
