I don’t see why a team would trade for him at this point. The draft Has already happened. The off season is already a mess. Teams couldn’t have him to the facility.

no he isn’t very likely to be traded at this point.

The cowboys also clearly didn’t have any interest in trading him, hence why they put the “exclusive” franchise tag on him. They wouldn’t have paid more for the “exclusiveL tag if they were open to accepting 2 firsts for him.

As much as I like Prescott, I'd trade him for an early 2nd round pick, and a slimjim.
I don't think anyone will give up a first round pick for him, much less two firsts.

I don't know. Give Tyler Chicken a call and see what they can do in converting concessions.

People have this false idea that dak has to be traded for 2 first round picks. That isn't how it works. Dallas can trade Dak for whatever compensation they want to trade him for. Of course dak has to sign his tag for any trade to go through, but that's a given..nobody is trading anything for dak unless they can agree to a contract extension..so dak signing the tag isn't an obstacle
show me theres way for them to circumvent the tag rules ?I heard the opposite even on the tag the compensation is 2 firsts and thats an nfl rule..

anyone have a actual new CBA link to the most updated tag rules?

Dak would have to sign the tag and then the teams can discuss a trade for what ever compensation they deem fair for the signed franchised tagged player.
The two 1st's only come into play when the player is tagged but not signed and not exclusively tagged.

Mack was on his 5th year option.

This is stupid. Dak will go anywhere that pays him what his asking price is.
dont talk unless you bring an actual paste and cut or link to the rule ..OK?! last I checked you weren't a expert we can count on here in virtual gm worlds.. lol show me the rule or dont say im wrong..

During this entire negotiation between Dak & Dallas, I assumed worst case scenario is Dallas gets two 1st round draft picks in trade. Now I am not so certain there is a market for Dak considering his asking price. An NFL team would need to part with two valuable 1st round picks and at same time meet Dak contract demands. So in effect another NFL team would need to over-pay with draft assets (two 1st) and cap assets (contract terms). Is there really that many (if any) NFL teams who would do that for player not ranked in Top 8 NFL QBs?

If you meant to say best case scenario I would agree. We're not getting two first rounders for Dak. We're not getting one first rounder in 2020.

Matt Cassel traded for a second round pick while franchise tagged

Back in early March, I would have said absolutely. Now, following draft and free agency, there is a much smaller market. You'd have to hope a team like Las Vegas would be after him.

You'd have a hard time finding a team willing to do that for Mahomes.
Not true at all. With the talent we have on offense, Jerrah would write the 40+ million a year check today, give up two firsts and rescind Dak’s tag within the hour. All 4 NFC East teams would do it by the end of the day. Mahomes is the franchise for the NFL now.
