“Obviously, it has no bearing on Dak," Jones said about Andy Dalton's signing in an interview with 105.3 The Fan. "Dak is the quarterback of our franchise now, and for many years to come. We’ve gotta get his contract — we’ve gotta get over that hurdle. But we’ll do it, it’ll ultimately get done.” Deadlines have historically made deals in Dallas, and Prescott clearly isn't in a rush to sign his franchise tag since the two sides have until the July 15 deadline to negotiate a long-term extension. As known all along, 32-year-old Dalton is merely glass to break in case of emergency. Expect Prescott's eventual deal to reset the market (before Patrick Mahomes' resets it again).

The impatience of fans on this site, married with the envy and slander of what these players make is a sickening truth.

Dak will get done. Stop wetting your underoos.

He will be paid commensurate to what starting QB's make.

Jones is a billionaire. He made that mostly off this team and the stadium. The percentage of payroll for talent versus net profit is questionable.

The heartfelt, tear laden posts filled with vitriol for Dak because he wants to be paid, after playing four years giving his best efforts on his rookie contract is truly a disgusting thing to watch on this board.

Maybe all of you barco lounger GM's and Head Coaches need to just enjoy the ride. This is a loaded team, with two prospects for DE still to come. I understood the rancor when Quincy was the QB. There was no hope for the future and Jerry was making trades on draft day so he could look like Jimmy.

Bonus points if you know the guy in the graphic and where he is from.

I've resigned myself to simply surfing the emotional waves on this site with a coke and a smile.
I ain't gonna be changing no minds. I know that.

I like Dak, but I hate this so much. We are really going to pay him more money than anyone in the history of the NFL even though he’s just a top 10ish QB. More than Russell Wilson. More than Aaron Rodgers.

He and Wentz should be getting paid the same. Same draft class. Same tier of player.

Stephen's speaking with a lot of confident.......wonder why? I'm guessing because he knows exactly what it'll take.

That made me think of a Richard Prior piece of advice to Eddie Murphy when Bill Cosby told Murphy to chill on the curse
words in his stand-up routine.

Prior said, "Tell Bill to have a coke and a smile.
