I read they already offered him 40 a year for 7 years, and he turned it down.
he will get 45 avg, or that is my prediction.

Yah, ok buddy. Just like Dak is asking for 40. You trolls will make up anything.

Someone should tell Vegas

Capture.jpg
chiefs and Ravens have cheap qb's, so are under 13% Tb is in that range, and 49's and saints , have a shot, but saints have faltered
2 years in a row, just lacking 1 or 2 players?? lol could be.
49's seem to be best team in nfc, but u never know, someone could unseat them this year.

All teams play for a chance at a SB, but many dont start the year thinking they will actually do it. they play anyway, cause they get paid
millions to do just that play.
Many really think this is their year, but for one reason or another, it doesnt happen, but they play anyway for the fun and money.

Most teams dont have a realistic chance though.
Vegas is basically saying it will be 49's again and either kc or balt in SB.

It's amazing Dak thinks he's worth a fifth of the cap. He is so full of himself.

Not sure but i believe 2024
I had read that they wanted to add games in order to get a even better TV deal
I’m sure there is a clause to rework if games are added but even under existing deal the cap just keeps going up

lol that is not based in any logic, like the % is.

The argument is also based on assumptions. Assuming people actually know what % the cap hit for Dak would be on his hypothetical contract.

Assuming the team would be better off with a yet to be named or determined QB.

Or the flawed logic that Andy Dalton would have a better chance of leading the cowboys to a Super Bowl this season, over Dak.

No team in NFL history has ever won a Super Bowl while paying their QB 13% or more of the salary cap.
Dak wants up to 20% of the cap.
It would be highly unlikely for Dallas to be the exception to this rule. Please move on, and start building a deep contender. Thank You.

No team had ever won a Super Bowl when the running back won the seasonal rushing title.

Never.

Ever.

Until Emmitt did it three times.

I would recheck those numbers man. Can’t be anywhere close to right. I’m sure if I go through the last 20 years its nowhere close to it.

perhaps it meant the % of superbowls won by first round QB’s? Not the % of first round QB’s who win superbowls.
I didn't inquire about years. It was an interesting question and I was curious as to the answer. I typed in how many qb's drafted in the first round won superbowls.

You piqued my interest.

I google what you said. Here’s what came up.

“WINNING SUPER BOWL TEAMS. Winning Super Bowl quarterbacks have been drafted in the first round 55.3 percent of the time (29.8 percent with the first overall pick).”

So it looks like 55.3% of all Super Bowl winning QB’s were drafted in the first round.

55% of QB’s drafted in the first round have not won a Super Bowl though.

That's true since some were multiple winners.

What an utterly meaningless stat. So, when Mahomes signs his gigantic contract then he will all of a sudden never win a SB again?

But in fairness Dak earned a total of less than 1% of the salary cap during the 4 years he’s been the starter, and we still failed to win a Super Bowl.

As long as Jerry is the GM that’s unlikely to change.

Thats probably how it will go. I will say it again no matter how good the qb is they need a good team to win a SB. edit: however they may have couple of years where his cap hit is low so
they could win again in those years.
Rodgers is great , but he never made it even back to a SB, they couldnt afford to keep enough good players.
In the playoffs every year but always come up short.
why do you guys think that is??

yet he led the number one offense last year. has had the most comebacks in the past 4 years and has one of the highest winning percentages over the same period...won division championship twice and has a 1-2 playoff record and he played under garrett.....yeah, run of the mill.....
Learn the damn game.

So you're saying Dallas had a better offense than KC, San Fran, Baltimore, New Orleans, Green Bay, Seattle,. Minnesota, New England, etc........?

Seriously?

What are the stats for having the highest paid RB and winning a SB. Man we are double screwed. :muttley:
Beat me too it. Emmitt Smith for $400?
Sorry!

I was thinking about winning the rushing title and winning the Super Bowl which Emmitt was the first to do it.

And he needs to be carried to be successful, paying him will have a negative effect on our ability to surround him with the talent he needs to have any success.
