With Dalton in board, I'd let him go for 1. If he holds out. Cut him. I am a big Dak fan, but QBs should not hold out.

I love Dak, I think he is special. He has certainly earned the right to a good contract. It would be difficult to replace his leadership and drive. His career has just begun.......... You bet I would trade for three #1's.

......never happen. Regretably, Mike Lynn passed away several years ago.

I would trade any player on this team for three first round picks.

This is why it’s a silly/bizarre thread.

May as well have asked if we’d trade him for 5 or 6 1st round picks.

No one in their right mind is saying no to such a fantasy deal either way.

You would probably need the picks to go get your next shot at QB.

I fully understand the folks that think he would be overpaid, and he isnt all that accurate, etc....but by the same means it's not all that easy to find someone better unless you have a 2 win season at the right time.

I would trade him for 3 second round picks. Package that and trade up as far as I could in the first round.

Its weird for me that people would find him inaccurate, but then prefer to start Dalton who is drastically more inaccurate despite throwing on average significantly less yards per throw (and having AJ Green to bail you out).

Yup. A lot of these people have never studied an NFL trade chart. It'd take 4 picks in the 20s to even pick 1 overall.

And even then you have a much higher chance to draft Baker Mayfield or Mitch Trubisky than you do at Mahomes.
and if you don't have a QB the other picks are just wasted.

A lot of these fans didn't survive being 5-11 three years in a row and it shows.

Is this even a question? -

I am firmly in the pay Dak camp but if you're giving me 3 x 1st round picks that can set up a franchise for a decade. You could run with Andy Dalton and have 30m to spend in free agency. You add Byron Jones, Jedaveon Clowney, Cole Kmet, Xavier McKinney & Cesar Ruiz to this team and I think it's gonna be a contender for a long time.

3 mid first rounders and up, yes. 3 lower first rounders? No.

H-m-m, that's really an odd question . . . Also, the position of the rounds matter.

it's tough to justify a team willingly offering 3 1st round picks for most QBs.
Heck, I'd give it really serious consideration for just two!
