I just did some searching and found nothing that said the Cowboys released Judd but I did find 2 things that said he is still with the Cowboys both dated April of this year.

But does it not seem odd our Director of Personnel is the brother of our former HC who is now OC for a divisional rival?

The other brother John used to be Pro Personel assistant for Tampa Bay when Jason was backing up Troy and Judd was a RB on the practice squad.

I don't know for certain. All I can say is I didn't find anything that said he was released but did find 2 things that still list him as Director of pro scouting. One of those list all of the new coaches too so if he was released you would think he wouldn't still be listed.

We keep him because maybe the Cowboys like the job he is doing? That is why Dallas hired his dad who worked for the Cowboys when Tex, Gil and Landry where here. People taking their hate for Jason a bit far.

or maybe they respect the job he does. Jones family runs it so he family members helping to run it is not much different than many other teams Pitt and the Rooney father and son are President and vice President, NY Giants, San Fran, NE all have family members in executive positions. To name a few teams.

Let me know how many of those other teams employ an entire family the way the Joneses have the Garretts.

That IS much different. It's nepotism and it's a recipe for failure.

Does not matter, NY quite a few but again does not matter fact is they have the job because they are family and you will see that thought out sports. If Judd Garrett is doing his job and is still here despite his brother getting fired then maybe it has to do with him doing his job to the teams satisfaction.

Mike Garrett was hired by Tex Schramm. Jason was hired and now fired for failure to do his job. Judd Garrett evidently they like the work he is doing. If you don't like it then too damn bad. This non sense of he got the job for 1 reason when the fact he has worked with New Orleans, St. Louis, Miami before coming to Dallas.
