we know dak has performed better over the past 4 years. we know what Dalton is after 9 seasons.....replacable….not irreplaceable.

If things were to truly go south with Dak’s contract negotiations, I think the perfect trade is Dak to the Jaguars for Gardner Minshew and Yannick Ngakoue.
Jaguars get an upgrade at the most important position in football. The Cowboys get an elite DE to pair with Lawrence and a second year QB on a very cheap contract who showed a lot of promise last year. And they’re looking to trade Ngakoue.

It's nuanced, yes, but "what is he worth?" is a different question from "would you trade him (ostensibly, right here right now)?
Agree that few if any players are "worth" 3 first round picks. But even if for the sake of argument DAL was offered that by some team, for the reasons stated above, I wouldn't make that trade. In sum, the trade isn't just a matter of the QB's "value," but also a matter that 3 draft picks are worth something in the future, not something that helps you if you think you're going to contend in 2020, as I think Jones & Sons, Inc. do.

hard to completely judge Dalton, but I would say we can agree both are replaceable.

And prices keep going up. We could trade one of our 1st rounds for multiple picks. But franchise QBs are hard to find. We have a lot of weapons this year. On Offense at least.

There probably is a team that would give up one 1st,, but 3 is fantasy land for nearly any player, and you couldn't get Mahomes for even that.
Reid has is prize pony and there is nothing you could offer KC for Mahome, he is the priceless gem.

He has a awesome team and coach yes but he's also good. And he's young. Sky's the limit for him. This is nowhere near his ceiling he's going to get better.
