More optimism. The biggest coaching changes that move us to more wins is the position coaches for ST, OL, LB. I actually think Dak can take a step back if MM runs more of his west coast offense. Overall all talent is lesser than it was, Nolan is maybe as good as Marinelli at DC he just prefers the same type of DT's that we all like so we assume that means better results (hint- we might be worse). I'm not buying into any more hype. I need to see them play and will change my opinion based on how they do not hype during the off-season.

I don't agree the talent is lesser than it was, we didn't have a good run stuffing big DT, now we have Poe. Dix is certainly better than Heath. McCoy was a Pro Bowler as recently as 2017. Lamb has more talent than Cobb, or is at least equal, even as a rookie, imo, Cobb was a second round draft pick, Lamb a first rounder and is also 4 inches taller. No Quinn replacement, at least as yet, though if Gregory returns and is about his previous skill level he could make up a lot of Quinn's absence, though due to the uncertainty I will concede Quinn at this point is a pretty big loss. Diggs could be up to B. Jones' level, how many people said Jones, he of the few ints, wasn't very good?

I think the talent is at least as good as it was, and depending on how Gallimore, etc. perform it could be better. Add to that the new coaches, and while I am hopeful for this year, as I am most of the time, I don't see it as "hype".

Not saying you many not be right, but we'll find out...

If people think we are an 8 & 8 team normally then McCarthy and his coaches are worth nothing? He can’t get us two games over Garrett with adjustments in the second half of games alone? I don’t understand.

That is a good way to look at it. If bike mike brings in 8&8, then ditching garret was a waste.

I wouldn't mind seeing a motorcyclist jump over a helicopter flying low in the air. Big Mike is doing a great job thus far, I'm hopeful.

Ah.. your memory is better than mine. I don't recall the motorcycle jumping... lol...

Nothing...I never predict a schedule to be tough or easy in the month of May for the upcoming season. There is no point to it.

Once a season is well underway, then it becomes easier to identify rough stretches in a schedule.
Like what, game 16? JK

Marinelli doesn't require the big body run stuffing 1T. Our run defense was still pretty good for the most part. And like most I like the Poe and McCoy signings but they are hot stud guys anymore either, just big names who we hope to have decent years.

That 8-8 claim by Cowherd reminds me of the song, "You Might be Wrong and You Might be Right!" :D

With the schedule that we have it will be damn near impossible for this team to only win 8 games. It’s the easiest schedule we’ve had in a long, long time. I love Colin Cowherd but he flip flops a lot with early football predictions & one of his most popular segments is ‘where Colin was right, and where Colin was wrong’. I take this with a grain of salt.

This dude claims we lost so many players: we lost Cobb, even though we got Ceedee to fill that spot. We got Diggs to fill in for Byron, even though he may not be as good as Byron was immediately. I understand being a little concerned on DE, but we got some good FA’s as well. Our secondary should be covered for the most part. Offense looks great. New coaching staff. But he has Philly winning the division at 10-6 . Tell me, what does Philly have that we don’t? And what holes did Philly fill in free agency and in the draft besides the backup QB position? What a joke :lmao2:.

I gotta say though, I like it better when Dallas is underestimated. They do best when they are underestimated. These analyst can keep it up.

As the saying goes..its all good.

You always have to bare in mind why are they saying this.?

It's to get hits for their company and sell advertising for their sponsors.

They not there to gain your nod to agree..

So it does not matter to me. But you have to wonder how it effects betting.

The NFL is like a huge horse race. Bets are totalled and odds are manipulated.

It's the truth and we all know it.

Go into any gambling casino in the World.

It is posted in big letters for everybody to see. Whatever bet they accept.

We as fans are generally in the dark about how this all works.

It's too sensitive and outside our comfort zone.

But we will play the pool at the office or whatever and say..

"Ain't no big deal. I do not gamble. People do not talk about it but they will bet a portion of their paycheck secretly.

I know tons of people who bet the State Lotto. Some will confide they are gambling like that..

others will shut up and double their bets.

So until we show some success under McCarthy and establish a betting line showing consistantly..

the rest of the critics ain't going to change.

I liked better not trying to be a dark horse trying to sneak thru the field. I want teams to feel we are coming to play 60 minutes and bring their lunchpales.

Our 90s teams were like that. They are going to take the air out of your ball and our balls will score 30+.

Bechu can't touch that.

I agree with Collin most times, but I can't condone this one. As DAL gets closer to winning the NFCE, you'll notice he will start siding with DAL.
