I agree. Dak should get 35M+.

If he gets a dime more than 35M per, he should thank his fortunate stars.

Instead of eyeballing the next contract before accomplishing jack, get something done and come back to the table then.

I'm simply pointing out how easily Dak Prescott- who is a fine NFL quarterback by every standard- can easily find himself paired with a team that won't fit like this one does to his talents, and say goodbye to his AP scores.

Noone will care about his yogurt, soup, what his sleep number is, directTV subscriptions, etc anymore.

Just. Like. That.

No matter how well he does elsewhere. It's a wrap. He'll be an afterthought.

I agree. Right now everything appears to be speculation. Is it the money or the length of contract? What I do know is I will be glad when a deal is done and the focus can begin on the upcoming season and the work this team needs to put in leading up to the season. I like the thought of Americas Team winning the SB as America recovers from this pandemic

A Championship will help his cause no question.

But his career resume is pretty darn good 4 seasons in. Statistically, there haven't been that many better in history.

I guess I don't see it the way you do. Statistically, he's had one good season but didn't pair it with a winning season. I think he has long way to go before he starts getting any serious consideration, but that's just my opinion.

In an absolutely impossible scenario, but I CAN DREAM can I? If Dak gets released will be be the absolute starter in any other team?
What are your thoughts?
Sadly, I think that Dak is a very good BACKUP.

I think you didn't look at the starting QBs for all 31 other teams before asking this question.

I'd swear a month from now some of you will have convinced yourselves that Dak is the worst QB in the history of football. :muttley:

Show me where i compared Dak's skills to a HOFer.:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

For the record, I never said you did compare Dak's skills. I mean, I can do that too. Show me where I ever said you did.

However, in post 159 of this thread, you do compare all of those QBs situation to Dak's in Dallas. The comparison was already started, which is what you asked.

Enjoy that popcorn....

I'm beginning to think a lot of people on this thread dont know or watch football. A lot of childish simplistic analysis.

There are good players on bad NFL teams. The fact that a QB started for a perennial loser does NOT necessarily make him a bad QB. Stafford in Detriot is a good QB. Dalton in Cincinnati was not a "bad" QB - wasnt a top notch starter, but wasnt bad.

lol...there is nothing special about his statistics. He is going to be passed by dozens of qbs before he retires. The only reason his rate stats look good now is that he just barely passed over the 1500 attempt threshold. By the time he retires the worst quarterback in the league will probably be throwing for 5000 yards and 8 YPA.

Now if he wins 3 rings or something then he'll get in no matter what... but that ain't gonna happen as long as Jerry is alive and kicking.

Hot Buttered Popcorn, yeah, but only in the theater for whatever reason. It's weird. It's almost Pavlovian for me. I gotta have hot buttered popcorn in the theaters but nowhere else. It's weird.

If his stats are nothing special why isn't every rookie Qb doing the same ?

No argument from this guy. Movie popcorn is the best.

That doesn't make any sense... he's not competing to go into the Hall of Fame against rookie QBs. Two of the next HOFs QBs didn't do anything as rookies.

He would probably start in NE, could possibly beat out the rook in SD for most of the season.

If Dak didn't start it wouldn't be because of ability.

It would be team didn't want or have the cap to sign him, they already have a good franchise QB, they just draft a high pick QB in the last couple of years, or they plan on drafting a QB next season
Wrong,, if a great QB in fantasy land were somehow ever was just released, lol,,, teams would swoop.
