The only non rookie deal QBs i can think of that teams would go on a cut spree to lock up long term would be Wilson and Rodgers.

Dak could easily start in the Fall for another team, he would just have to be a more short term/lower cap deal. There's a huge difference between March availablity and May availablity for 98% of players

Like I said, its fantasy land, Wilson and Rodgers are never going to be just cut, no franchise caliber QB is ever going to be just cut, not even Dak.

Ohhh so you are 100% sure that Dak wont ever be cut? Like there is no way in heck that he will be cut lets say in 2 years?

A really good thread starter would be to check out the Bears roster and start counting how many TEs they have rostered,,
9 that I know of currently, and they just drafted Kmet… would be a great thread,,, and yes Im trashing this Dak thread... sue me.

Oh so now you introduce a time frame,,
Be a little more specific if you want to be treated with respect.
Maybe ten years from now, that really changes the equation.

I mean no offense dude... what i mean is... that I THINK he will NOT be our Starting QB in 2 years.. just like we cut Quincy Carter, just like Tebow was cut etc.

Dak would chew up Carter and Tebow for lunch and spit them both out at the same time,, that's not even fair to Dak, and you can ask anyone here how much I value Dak .. funny stuff.

Well yes Dak is better than those two. I WAS JUST mentioning and example. That i THINK DAK will eventually be cut.

Quarterback is a tough position to fill, and Dak is certainly well above average. So, yes, he would find a place to start.

Sadly, I think that Dak is a very good BACKUP.

Take it for what its worth, the moment he started here he was supported by a very good OL and receivers, TEs and had Zeke . Honestly even the fervent Dak supporters will acknowledge it was an ideal situation for him to flourish ( if he wasnt a bust) He did prove he is above average and made use of situation to the effect , when Romo came back he didnt get the starting job back.

The down year he had when the OL went through issues - Fred out and Tyrone had injury issues.... Another aspect is pre Amari trade , with avreage receivers he could get the offense going, all these proves under the best conditions he will be a good QB , other wise average.

All players will eventually be cut or retired,, its the NFL man.

Not sure Rayne is a championship qb or not, but most QB TDs (passing/rushing) thru 1st 4 seasons:

1. Dan Marino 148
2. Peyton Manning 118
2. Russell Wilson 118
2. Rayne Dakota 118

gonna say that some team would take a chance on that.

the hypotheticals are out of control..HE WILL NOT BE RELEASED AND MOST LIKELY NEVER TRADED AS HIS ASKING PRICE AND DRAFT STOCK IS TOO MUCH RIGHT NOW THIS LATE INTO THE OFFSEASON..

IF HE WAS RELEASED HE BE GRABBED BY NE OR THE JAGS within 30mimnsor less and be the starter maybe some other but for sure YES starter quickly no way a backup..

now I do believe he asking for far too much and should sign the deal he was offered months ago and Jerry would be insane to cave and give him the highest paid player in the league deal..hes not worth 36mil year no way!
