Yup agreed.. HE IS NOT WORTH what he is asking for

that still doesnt agree with your statement hes not a backup hes better then at least 25 other qbs and would for sure be starter

.simply he is asking for far more then his skill level or really the market for him is around 10 best qb..33/105 is fair the rest is not..

In a world that no longer makes sense.......

For all quarterbacks with 2000 or more pass attempts in the first four years of their career, Dak is ranked #! in NFL history for passer rating and pass completion percentage, #2 in average yards per attempt, #3 in wins, #2 in lowest INT%, and #1 in rushing TD's.

I'm talking about the most productive quarterbacks in history. They include Dan Marino, Peyton Manning , Drew Bledsoe, Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matt Ryan.

Half of them were drafted #1 overall. Two thirds of them were drafted in the top ten. Only three were not #1 draft choices and two of those guys were drafted in the top 4 of the 2nd round. Dak Prescott is the only one not drafted in the 1st round or the very top of the 2nd round.

The best of the best when it comes to QB's in their first four years in the league....and Dak's name is at the very top of that list.

The very first thing he did when he entered the league was break the NFL record for pass attempts before first INT, the previous record set by Tom Brady.

He hasn't missed a single game as a starter since the day he first wore a Cowboy uniform. Four seasons, 64 starts. He is one of only 6 QB's in NFL history to achieve that.

In NFL history, there have been 37 quarterbacks that threw 100 or more passes during the postseason in their first 4 years......the playoffs.

Troy Aikman is ranked #1. Patrick Mahomes is ranked #2. Dak Prescott is ranked #5.

In the divisional round of the playoffs during his rookie year, Dak led the Cowboys from an 18 point deficit to a tie ballgame with 35 seconds left on the clock. It took a defensive breakdown combined with a legendary pass by a future Hall of Famer to prevent Dak from leading the Cowboys to their first NFC championship game in over 20 years.

In his next playoff game, against Seattle in 2018, the Cowboys entered the 4th quarter down by 4. He took them down the field for the first TD to go up by three. With seven minutes left in the game and up by only three, he bled the clock while methodically going down the field until the Cowboys were faced with a 3rd and 14. A field goal would have put the Cowboys up by 6, Maher had already missed one field goal. In any case, the ball would go back to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks with over two minutes left.

What came next was one of the gutsiest plays by a quarterback in Cowboy history. On 3rd and 14 Dak ran the ball...and made the 1st down. The next play he ran it in and the Cowboys were up by 10....leadership....balls of steel...at the most critical point of an elimination game.

What was the question?......Would Dak start on another team?......In a world......

Dak Prescott has no leverage?

If worse comes to worse and the Cowboys start Dalton....it will be the best leverage Dak could ever dream of.

I leave with you the quotes that best personify Jerry Jones's expertise when it comes to evaluating quarterback talent in the NFL. Keep them in mind as Jerry continues to describe his opinions on the current QB situation.

“We were very fortunate that Matt Cassel was available to us when Tony went down.”

"I'm still so damn mad at Stephen. I get madder, every day, about missin' Manziel"

"I have to be a realist. I hadn't thought or hoped that we'd be sitting here after the sixth game making these adjustments. … I did not want to this year go to an inexperienced quarterback (Tony Romo). I wanted to have the benefit of Drew Bledsoe. It hasn't worked out as of today. It just hasn't worked out. That to me is a step back."

Easier to make that statement than actually check....when did laziness become an attribute?

It took me a long time to research this information despite a background in....well, never mind. You don't care. You can't attack facts so you dismiss them as false without even bothering to to find out for yourself.

Everything I said is accurate. You can check this on Pro Football Reference by constructing the proper tables with the proper parameters. Of course you won't, and I'm not going to do it for you.

We all know at this point that running backs don't matter a lick, but man I wish we had an elite one.

Yeah, you must have me confused with someone else. The problem is, you run these stats and actually believe they’re true. You don’t have any kind of inner radar that sounds off and says, “what did I do wrong here?” Because you’re clueless.
Anytime you see someone say “first four years” with Dak you know they are stacking the deck for Dak by limiting to the extremely small subset of QBs who had enough luck and people get hurt so they could play right away. The vast majority of QBs before the year 2000 were not allowed to play in their first year. It was basically a mandate as a QB to serve as an apprentice before they were thrown into the fire.
So why don’t you run those stats again, this time through the first 64 starts, and then I’ll tell you what else you did wrong.

In an absolutely impossible scenario, but I CAN DREAM can I? If Dak gets released will be be the absolute starter in any other team?

What are your thoughts?
Sadly, I think that Dak is a very good BACKUP.

I think that Dalton blows Dak away and Dak is barely backup material. We should cut him today. Let him go destroy another franchise. :muttley::lmao2:

Stats for the first four years for QBs since 1950. Keep in mind that the average completion percentage and passer rating have steadily gone up since 1950, and the average interception percentage has gone down. Yards per attempt has been somewhat less volatile.

I was about to ask if this was the 1st 64 starts and then I actually bothered to really look at it.

Thank you bud! This is quite cool.

:) His stats are 'more' correct. (laughing to self)...and not discussing on the merit that was presented by yourself. He has the burden to refute, and not by attitude.

probably but the statement asked if he could start anywhere if released
Without a doubt. I can see him taking over Nick Foles. I could see him starting in Washington. New England. Yep no doubts
