Sounds good but would be dumb as chicken going to the Starving Foxes Ball.

1. Team is too mature to start at QB with a rookie or a red head (remember how that work the last 10 years at Head Coach).
2. McCarthy likes grooming QBs and then playing them...see Aaron Brooks and James Blake, and Aaron Rodgers and Brett Farve.
3. QB is the hardest position to draft correct in the 1st round see the multitude of failures even by legendary QB GM John Elway and Jerry want to trade for the QB he drafted that failed. Lynch mob Baby!
4. When your QB is 26 years old, 4 year pro with 3 pro bowls, 1-2 playoff record, and is the unquestioned leader of the team, you do not trade him. Name me the time it worked or was done.
5. Here is fan reaction after the trade and watching a waste of 1st round picks...

Great points on the trade really happening. On a side note is that Putty in front of the elephant ? @waldoputty @daboyzruleperiod

I'm late to the thread but.......

IN A HEARTBEAT.

In one stroke, the Cowboys would free up an immense amount of money (for a few years) that they would otherwise have spent on Dak. Let Dalton have the reins for a season, see what he can do (this guy did take Cincinnati to the playoffs 4 times after all, in a division that features the tough Steelers and Ravens.) Take those three additional first-round picks and spend them on a good quarterback, a good pass rusher, and a good defensive back, in that order.

Dallas would be set up as a legit Super Bowl contender for years to come.
