espn ruined monday night football. every thing they have done made it worse and the games are mostly bad too.

There aren’t enough good matchups on a week to week basis, to put premiere games on all the primetime slot.

Between Sunday night football, Monday night football. Thursday night football and “America’s game of the week” at 4:30 timeslot. It’s just too much

It's a huge loss. McFarland is the preeminent analyst in the game.

Just for instance, take this recent draft. McFarland was the one they went to when the Cowboys drafted Neville Gallimore and I feel I know him better than the other 6 guys combined thanks to his expertise in film study.

My dream MNF crew would be Peyton Manning and Eric Dickerson. They aren’t going to get Manning, but Dickerson is fantastic on these sports talk shows & I think he’d kill it as a commentator.

You know the MNF booth is a mess when they axe both announcers.

Tessitore is a complete goon, with the contrived excitement over the most average plays. He makes Gus Johnson seem normal. I mean, look at this guy:

Just horrid. He has no ability to make the commentators with him any better. Not that Witten nor McFarland were great, but Tessitore did nothing to make them better. An announcerless game would have been an improvement.

Go to what would have happen if someone would not have tried to make marijuana legal 20 years before its time...

Nate Newton was a John Madden favorite and would have been in route to the booth but stupid is as stupid does. Rumor had it that John was really playing Nate up to merge into broadcasting.

I think he could work great as an color analyst (He could be the Don Meredith of this generation). Combine Nate Newton, Nate Burleson as the other analyst, and Gus Johnson with play by play. Burleson is real good.

Don Meredith and Frank Gifford's ashes can announce a game better than these clowns.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I fail to see a group of announcers that will be an upgrade.

Anyone have a list?

Booger wasn't that good on MNF

That being said, I always enjoyed his takes on the old Mike & Mike show.

Some of the reason I've advocated for there to be 2 MNF games each week. Televise the best matchup and show updates and highlights as they happen from the other game. If the primary game turns into a blow out, switch to the other game. That would be far more entertaining for everyone.
