Just a random off-season question; is there a datbase that shows what colleges are most represented in Dallas Cowboy History?

If not, regardless of how good the players were, which colleges have the most players to ever play for the Cowboys?

A buddy of mine gave me some trivia that I'll share later on one school that might surprise you.
But neither of know the answer to most represented

That's the draft History and not who made the team or joined the team after their rookie year , right?

Only 14 of those 18 from Tennessee made the team. But I bet we had some others come from others later in their career.
Only 6 of 16 Gators made the team.

For example, Deion Sanders or Amari Cooper aren't even on that list.

The internet has killed trivia.
His list was for drafted players only.
Many never made it. And then there's all the years after the rookie year--who came here later, etc.

I was looking for who actually played as Dallas Cowboys, period.

Maybe there's a different list that be sorted.

SEC doubles every other conference. Every other team is probably the same.

Would have thought that U of Miami had more Cowboys players that some of those during the Johnson era. He always had a few UM guys on the roster.

Jimmy drafted the best player, didn't play favorites.

Again, he posted drafted players, which wont work fir several reason.

Six.
Tyrone Crawford, Demarcus Lawrence, Leighton Vander Esch, Cedrick Wilson, Darian Thompson, and Marcus Henry (practice squad).

Had a look at the UM site - I make it that Jimmy had 13 UM players make the regular season roster during his tenure. While, yes, he always drafted the best player, I recall that, especially in the first couple of years, he always liked to have a few guys in camp or on the roster who played for him before and knew his drills. Made it easier to run practice. Many of these were fringe players who had short stints for this reason. I'm sure that a lot more than 13 were on preseason rosters during his tenure.

So far we know:

  • Tennessee has at least 14 make it after being drafted (but still don't know the ones that later came from other teams or were UDFA)
  • Ohio St has at least 11 after being drafted
  • Florida has at least 11
  • USC has at least 10
  • Arizona St has least 10
  • Oklahoma will have at least 10 when the season starts (Lamb and Gallimore)
  • Miami has at least 9 (and csirl says its at least 13 in total)
  • Alabama has at least 9
  • UCLA has at least 8
  • Notre Dame has at least 8
  • Boston College has at least 8

Ironically, a friend of mine tells me East Carolina has 10 in total after FA and UDFA
