Like its been stated though....how much longer does Wentz get the excuse not having talent around him when his team won a Super Bowl without him? Granted, his receivers leave a lot to be desired. But Wentz has never been a guy who's utilized his receivers. Its always been the tight ends especially Zack Ertz.

Jefferey is injury prone and probably wasn't worth the acquisition. Jackson is too old and often hurt. They just don't have talented wideouts but they have a nice set of TEs. Wentz's biggest problem is his health.

Wince doesn't need top talent at WR since he's the legitimate dink-n-dunk master.

Those guys aren't worth much now. Jeffrey's in that Super Bowl run was very good. Now they don't. Well I don't know what Reagor does. I think the idea is that he slides in and have a impact day 1. I don't see why he shouldn't anyway.

I think that's why people say he doesn't have talent but you get 500-700 receiving yards from a couple of guys and over 1k rushing yards from 3 guys....that's a effective offense if you can get it.

I don't disagree. But it shouldnt be a surprise to anyone when Dak has better numbers on a prolific offense and a middle of the pack defense.

Orlovsky is such a putz. He's been on the Wentz train to the point where it's almost like he's being paid by Wentz's agent to pimp him. Look, I like Wentz and have argued that I thought he was a better QB than Dak with a higher ceiling. But as season's go on, Dak continues to meet or exceed, statistically, what Wentz does so it's getting harder and hard to suggest he's not better than Wentz at this point. Maybe that changes, who knows.

But for Orlovsky to rank Wentz 5th is laughable but makes sense since he's been a Wentz drooler since he came into the league.
I am sorry but anytime you leave Aaron and Drew out of your top 5. You lose me. He put old man Brady at four........? Brady looked old as dirt last year and is not getting any younger.

I'm less concerned with Dak > Wentz or Wentz > Dak than I am this:

The so-called "market" for QBs (not really a market unless you're talking an unrestricted free agent) is too much of the cap. It doesn't tend to produce titles.

I don't put much stock into a 6-year sample size completely skewed by the fact that Tom Brady chose to give the Patriots a discount for years.

As a whole yes. The 2017 Eagles was a well rounded team. Wentz lead them to a 10-2 record before he tore his ACL.

On offense, that team didnt have a 1k yard running back or receiver.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/phi/2017.htm
they didn't have a 100 yard rusher, but they had two pretty good rushers in Blount and Ajayi whom they traded for.
they didn't have a 1000 yard receiver, but they were good deep receiving group, with Ertz, Jeffries, Agholor, Torrey Smith
they had a top 5 defense that really helped. giving up about 18 pts/game which was 4th in the league....
and the coaching was key as it became obvious once Foles played...

Wentz had a lot of help, more than people want to admit, except when they want to argue that he is better than Dak, yet during the season, there were arguments on why Dak was better.

I really hope they don't Orlovsky on the Monday night crew. He got roasted by Jeff Cavanaugh pretty bad on Twitter recently as well.

I have not seen Wentz prove that he can step up and will his team to victory. That said, he is the only QB in the history of the NFL to pass for 4,000 yards without a wideout over 500 yards....last season. He basically did it with just TEs and RBs. I have to credit his patience and his coach for that accomplishment.

wentz has some talent around him as well, lets not act as if he is throwing, catching, blocking, running the ball by himself. the eagles have picked up, traded and paid for some talent for him to succeed. their OL is probably as good as ours, so we can't even say dak has the best OL. and more importantly, he has been in much better coaching situation. his head coach was Pederson, his OC was Frank Reich, now head coach at Indy. the two of them guided the team to a superbowl win with a back up QB who got a another contract because of those few games. give Dak Pederson and Reich and lets see the results.

Eagles better: TE, Special Teams, DEF, Coaching
Cowboys better: WR, RB, QB

OL is a wash
