I hope that Dalton is never more than a quality BU QB on this team, and he might even be able to give Dak a few pointers in the process.
Agreed, Golden...but I hope my respect for Dak Prescott isn't lost in this shuffle...

First let me say this, yes this is another (partial) Dak thread, but hear/read me out.

Depending on what the fully guaranteed money is on the Cowboys proposed contract to Dak, I think he should hurry and sign it. I say this because its been proven that NO quarterback can do it alone. Dak needs to sign so that his cap hit reduces in orderfor the Boys to sign another key defender or 2.

Both of Dak's playoff losses came with the defense giving up 30 plus points.

When that happened to the following quarterbacks, here are their respective playoff records.

Brady who most of us consider the goat is 2 -2
Aaron Rogers is 2 -5
Brees 0-3
Montana 0-3
Favre 0-7
Peyton Manning 2 - 4
Russell Wilson 0-3
Aikman 0-2
Young 0-4
Big Ben 0-6
Elway 1-6
Roger the Dodger 0-1
Kurt Warner 2-2
Eli Manning 0-1

Practically everybody can score these days but defense wins championships, quarterbacks don't!

Mic drop....
I saw that thread but the other QBs have found a way to overcome when their teams have given up too many points, Mahomes was way down twice in the playoffs last year and came back to win..I realize its team game but dak hasn't proem to me that he belongs anywhere on that list im almost sure they all have at least one SB win and multiple SB appearances even the undrafted Warner..

its nice stats to show that but Dak couldn't over come being down one score many teems at the half last year , we lost every game we were behind at the half some were less then 3 points, and we also lost many games where we had the lead, Dak didnt lose by himself but he sure didnt dig deep down and play his best and that 2nd half of the philly game, he choked..yes he was hurt but the entire team stepped up their games from the poor first half and made plays, got open and Dak flat out missed huge chunk plays some of which could have scored, If Dak were a true leader and was so hurt he couldn't hit wide open WQRs all game, he should have asked to be pulled out.... I mean we were down by 8 for nearly 40 mins thats it, 8 points! blame it on the defense well not in many games like the saints game, etc etc..Dak just hasn't proven up to this point that he can step up his game and pull a win out of sure defeat.. 35mil qbs demanding top pay do that from time to time./.

Despite the coaching.

That was one of the best QB runs of any Cowboy QB in a playoff game.

Yes we get it. When the team wins Dak is the reason when he loses the team let him down. When you point out his win loss record it’s a team game but when you question whether he’s worth what he’s demanding it’s all about stats.

The team should not be offering him what they are much less be contemplating giving in to his demands. I’d withdraw the offer and let him walk...see if another team offers an amount anywhere close to what he’s asking for.

I just pointed out 1 playoff game where he put the team on his back. Poor thing got butt hurt over it.

Excuse me Sir!! The Dak Haters have been doing this mess for 3 seasons

Zach Martin's block was clearly a called run play or Dak changed it....somehow these Dak Haters claim Dak missed a wide open Noah Brown:lmao2:

You can't make this Hate up!! It's inbred

Looney was at the 5 and he thinks it's a pass.

Clutch run by the QB for sure. An amazing drive where the QB didn't complete a single pass.

Cowboys probably would have been just as successful if they directly snapped to Elliott.

Watch La'El on this play. Eric Williams suited up and left hooked the guy.

And.....? He put it all out there to score the TD. You haters are pathetic.

Dak didn't score on that play. On the next one yes.

He also didn't complete a single pass on that drive. All wonderfully executed runs, led by Elliott.

What's, "pathetic," is your search for conflict. Your statement carried an implication that the play in question was a poor call that he made work, especially considering your title saying he won the game, "on his own."

Not sure why pointing out the actual play call makes me a, "hater," but I think it may be related to your need for conflict. Here's an idea- have a local escort step on your junk for a little bit and get that out of your system. Afterwards you may not feel the need to namecall strangers on the internet.

Haters gonna hate. By nature, they are miserable people. Miserable people gonna hate. It's just what they do.

I wasn't saying anything about a poor play being called so quit the lying. Called play or not he won that game with that run. He put the team on his back and won that game. Regardless if that was the final score or what. When a QB does something like that, the rest of the team follows. So quit your but hurt hating and get on board with the Cowboys. They've got a very talented team going into training camp. Your butt hurt hate over Dak is going to ruin your enjoyment of the season because you, and all the other Dak haters, or going to be praying Dak sucks so you can come here and pound your chest. Pathetic.

You don't know me very well. Not sure what catharsis you're looking for but carry on. Do whatever makes you feel better.

I want to go on record as saying this is one of the worst title's of any post I have ever seen. If the OP thinks Dak won a game ON HIS OWN, he lacks rudimentary football knowledge. Since there are 11 men on your side of the field at most times (See Dorsett 99 yard run as why it is not 100% of the time) one player can never win a game or lose a game all by himself. EVER.

Sports where you can win a game all by yourself:

Tennis
Golf
Ping Pong
Pool
Horseshoes
Bowling
Fishing
Running races of all sorts
Many Olympic events too many to list

Essentially anything where you compete alone vs a single opponent. Team sports will never be won or lost by one person on one play.

You must be trolling. Seriously!

Prescott was ok in the game. Wilson outplayed him, every impartial fan watching the game said the same to me at the time. Wilson made so many good throws in that game - the Cowboys had a superior team with home field advantage. Again, it's not a criticism of Prescott, he was fine in the game, he kept up his end but to claim that he put the team on his back etc is just delusional. Nice run, it was Tim Tebowesque, best play of the game with his legs. Ironically it was the play calling and coaching of the Seahawks that ultimately cost them by not putting the ball more in the hands of Wilson.
