Tyrone Crawford "feeling awesome" after hip surgeries - ProFootballTalk

Tyrone Crawford has been a regular starter in Dallas for the last few years, but he had surgery on both hips after appearing in four games during the 2019 season.

Crawford feels confident he’ll be able to make his case for playing time, however. He said he’s feeling “surprisingly” well at this point in the calendar and expects to continue feeling that way.

“Obviously, double hip surgery is nothing to play around with. But I’m feeling awesome, ready to go,” Crawford said, via the team’s website.

He shouldn’t risk it. Should probably just retire and let his hips fully heal. Oh, what? That saves us $8 million in cap room so we can go and sign someone like Everson Griffen instead? I had no idea, but okay!

I'm sorry. Things were different a couple of months ago, and maybe they will still make him take a cut, but at this point it looks like Clowney can be had for like 1/12 and Griffen even less.

The team has more than enough DTs and I cant see how you can justify paying Crawford 8M and watching those two sign elsewhere for not much more.

Yeah, yeah. Clowney is overrated. I get it.

You barely know Crawford is in the game when he is.

Then he gets hurt and plays but we hear excuses about how injuries impacted his effectiveness.

Back in Dec or Jan he already said he'd take a pay cut. We'll see what everyone's got in August. At 4mil he makes us better even if everyone is healthy.

Cowboys DL Tyrone Crawford is "feeling great" following operations on both of his hips.
"Obviously, double hip surgery is nothing to play around with," Crawford said. "But I'm feeling awesome, ready to go." Now on the wrong side of 30, Crawford has dealt with hip problems for several years. They limited him to four games in 2019. The Cowboys' official team website expects Crawford to remain in the mix for a starting job, but his 2020 has a wide range of potential outcomes.
