You can't even imagine how important the newspaper sports section was back then....
Hahaha. I remember cutting out our SB victory pictures and posting them in my work station to shove it in everyone's face.

Internet was out two years prior (1991) Cowboys 90's dynasty.
It might have been out in 1991, but no one really had it/understood its usage until around 93-94, and it was mainly just AOL chat rooms where you talked trash to random strangers lol! It took a few more years before you'd see bulletin-board style forums.

I'm a Millennial Cowboys fan who grew up abroad and completely missed out on the entire 1990s dynasty.

How intense was the anti-Cowboys hate back then (especially during 1992-1995?) Was it thrice as bad as today? Did all of non-Cowboys America fervently wish for Dallas to lose?
Haven’t been in an NFC Championship game in 25 years and other fans STILL hate us. That ought to let you know how much other teams hated us

I got yelled at by a 9 year old in a Chargers jersey in front of a video game rental store back , back back in the day while wearing my Irvin jersey.. He was going off. I stood there, laughing.

I mean, he was wearing a Chargers jersey.

The hate the cowboys get today is way more than what i saw when i grew up in the late 80s early 90s

Now youre allowed to openly hate the cowboys on the media

everytime you open espn or sports center its an analyst that hates Dallas you turn on Nfl network same thing

With no social media or cell phones, the hate wasn't bad really.
But I'll tell you something that was beautiful, when the team took the field you knew they were gonna win more times than not, beautiful thing to watch.

Hate was about the same in my view but easier to deal with hate when your team just won the SB. Right now you take it and deal with it. lol

I was only a teenager during the dynasty days but I can tell you the internet has made it much worse and given the perfect platform for social media pontificating. Meh, has never bothered me. It's funny how people try to get under your skin, and when it don't work, they eventually go away. I never understood it. I hate the rest of the NFC East teams but you won't find me on their forum boards, Facebook pages, or wherever gloating or talking smack.

^This. Always makes me laugh when certain people always go on about the Cowboys. I usually remind them we've had no success lately so why are you so busy hating? It's like they think of the Cowboys more than I do!

WE had no internet back then... I was 14 back then! It was wonderful time. With the 49ers are our more fierce competitor and the wanna be packers
lol I got my first PC I believe around 1996 it could have been 1993 but the internet chat rooms were hard to use on AOL and nothing was available like we have now..AOL says you've got mail!!

Back then, especially in 1992, many were actually excited to see the cowboys come back to glory. The story was a big one starting with the Hershel Walker mega trade

I think people who say there was less hate must just forget. It was just as bad if not worse.

There wasn’t widespread use of the internet but there was sports talk radio and in any city except Dallas, especially in the NFC East cities, the jealousy was unreal.

Of course, they can’t say much when you’re good. That made the Dave Campo era all that much worse, way worse than 1-15 in 89. All that pent up hate came raging out.

I think the hate in general is worse now for everything and everyone unfortunately... I personally think the cowboys and our fans are hated more now because people think we are too full of ourselves with not a very good reason to be so.

Look I learned the anti-Cowboys hate on whole new level.
It my last week at boot camp and I knew the Cowboys where playing the NFCC Jan 96 and if they won I'd be home between orders for Superbowl.....are you kidding me!
Anyway, last week of boot camp drill instructors ease up and become human. One of DI brought a tv out of DI room so we could watch NFCC while platoon prepared for graduation and MCT.
The ** turned on the TV on and faced it towards the wall. We could hear play by play then after a couple plays he messed with antenna...
Anyway....you know the rest

D-hound--- oh man never forget January 1993...cowboys 49ers at Candlestick park and field had taken a lot of rain that saturday night...and when Steve Young threw the 80 yd bomb TD to Rice that was called back due to penalty

i knew their luck was running out...and then we proceeded to put a little beat-down on niners....i was the happiest guy in the world....i had just celebrated first 30 days of sobriety out of rehab....the good ol days
