That is nonsense..

First the cap % constraints bs has been fact checked and proven to be a myth or at best 50/50.

2nd the Cowboys have are built a FORMIDABLE team around Dak on paper. Honest question please explain how we can save money on Dak's Contract and whom we'll sign in 2020 and 2021 whom will help prop up Andy Dalton.

3rd you can't hide a hypothetical $7M QB.....Dalton will eventually have to make plays. Are you betting Dalton will start making plays because we save money to sign Jamal Adams in 2021?? Again please give examples

We don’t have a defense..

We are built flashy and used resources on flashy positions..

Now use Dak’s money on the defense and replace Dak with someone else who is Dakverage like Dalton.

Robert Quinn $30M GTd 5yrs

So we are not using hypothetical numbers...those are going market value for Quinn and Jones (Dolphins and Bears). I don't care about total contract just guaranteed $$. So you'd guarantee Jones and Quinn a total of $87M to hide a $3M Andy Dalton....

Plus whatever future player signings I'd hope good players you want to sign will also have other teams bidding.

Do you see how empty you philosophy gets when held against REAL world numbers...

Defenses can't hide $3M QBs but you'd spend $87M lol

80+% of Dak's contract will be guaranteed. Whether you agree with the signing or not your look at the guarantees vs. Total dollars is pretty much mute as they will be fairly similar.

these guarantees are becoming so much more of a sham. I always latched on to them as the only concrete piece of the contract, but even they are mirages a lot of times. At this point the only legitimate guarantees are of the “due at signing” variety. Otherwise they turn into “roster guarantee” , “skill guarantee”, and “injury guarantee” etc.

Look at gurley, he signed a deal w/ 45 mil in guarantees and he only saw like 25 of it.

I honestly think that’s one of the hidden battles in this negotiation, Dak wants a shorter deal to limit the opportunities to get funny with the guarantees
